Those look beautiful! But I must admit two of them don't seem to quite match the rest in style. The Speed and Vitality ones particularly. They seem to go with each other but are of a different style from the rest. Perhaps with some context they'd look better though (perhaps they are generic skills for base attributes while others are specific ones, for example), I'm not sure. |

as above really ^^; I am kind of surprised you didn't involve Chess sort of things into this... (ie, the rook's hammer for strength, the knight for speed, pawn for fend, queen for frenzy etc) ... But at the same time, I wouldn't do that either... >.<; Mal P.S I do like the picture for fend... |

Thanks guys! I'll see about changing those two; it must be the outline look. They work as they are now, so we'll see what happens later on |

You know, Raziel's suggestion for chess related icons makes a lot of sense. But the ones you got already are great looking. But that makes me think that from what I've seen, there really doesn't seem to be much of a chess theme going on here. I think that might be a bit odd considering the game's basic concept. It almost feels like now the Chess bit is an afterthought. I hope that's just be cause I haven't seen the big picture though. |

An interesting point. And perhaps Chess has taken a back seat to current developments. That doesn't mean it's not going to work or anything though. We've got the two Chess modes at the moment, and the 3 PvP modes (DM, TDM and Conversion). Chess is arguably the most complete at the moment. Also, we'll be adding some more "character" to the pieces. Let us know what you feel we can do to improve things |

Perhaps chess is a bit in the background now, but that makes it better, chess vs a free combat slaughterer, I wonder which I'd take?... |

I think that using chess pieces wouldn't work very well, their aren't any Doctors or vampires. The vitality symbol, (Caduceus) Is a medical symbol and could be confused for health/ healing. |

@Worlock: Yeah, I used the caduceus cause it seemed most appropriate for it's function (max health). Have thee any suggestions perchance? |

The Ankh has become a symbol of wholeness, vitality & health. The Ankh IMO would fit game style better, Caduceus makes my think of an ambulance. I don't see anything wrong with the speed one, but some one brought it up, what about Mercury's boot, with the wing on it. PS Did some looking around, there's a lot of cool Celtic symbols. |

The speed one looks good, but it seems to be of a different style than the rest. The caduceus too, what with their outline style compared to the full colored other ones. And an Ankh sounds like a good alternative, though I think some alterations on the caduceus could make it fine; right now it just looks a little too modern. |

Show sketches before working out the icons on your twitter! The progress of work is interresting to see and this way you can get feedback about the shapes of the icons before adding detail, color and highlights. |

Who says I sketched em? The problem with sketches is that I do them on paper most likely, and that means a scanner, which is ♥♥♥♥♥ |

Thats the reason I want a graphics tablet. A ruff sketch can save a lot of time. |
