Just wanted to make a quick and playable map for Rooks Keep to test out the UDK. Since Rooks Keep is based on Chess, I thought to myself why not make a giant Chess Board the battlefield?

Can't make videos, suck at it too much :(

It's not that "big" of a map either, can try it for yourself in-game. Works quite well with floaty corpses mutator and 32 bots Last man Standing. It's kinda like a battle-royale. There's one health pickup in the middle. Although I'm starting to think I should of placed spawn points around the whole map and not just the pawn spaces.

I'm guessing the other side is a mirror. Looks good!

And yeah, I'd suggest entirely random spawns.

on second thought, do, but also keep the other ones. Maybe for team games it'd be appropriate? Can you say giant clash? :D

Small update:
*Fixed a few alignment issues, replaced the static meshes that didn't have a texture.
*Added a few more spawns, if you in the middle of the map you should see fighting take place all around you.

PS. The amount of bots you can have in-game is actually 64. Although with my PC I need to lower the graphics settings a little to be able to do that many.

You can add even more bots with the following commands:

set gameinfo numbots 0
addbots 32

You can add as many as your pc can handle with those commands.
