It seems that someone has already created a network channel for Rooks Keep.
This should make hosting and joining games a lot simpler especially if you just want to host a quick game of Chess or a quick deathmatch with a friend or two where neither of you are capable of hosting games the traditional way (which requires port forwarding etc).

It's kinda like Hamachi, although unlike Hamachi, Tunngle was designed for games from the ground up, and the channel you see in picture can hold up to 255 players (Hamachi normally 5 on free account).
Every-time someone in the channel hosts a game it should show up in the LAN browser.
Doesn't require a password either so anyone can jump into the Rooks Keep channel.
The global chat channel for organizing games should also come in handy.

This should be a good alternative while we wait for dedicated servers to popup, and even if dedicated servers popup it should still be really useful especially for Chess.

edit: Not to sure about Tunngle anymore, gives a lot of problems, also you require to forward ports to host properly. Hamachi still the best :(
