I can confirm that my firewall isn't blocking my games in general, plus I have a direct connection--no router. So far I can only get on the LAN Games list. I have studied RK-Dedicated Server Example.bat and RooksKeep URL Command list.txt - I've also tried running the .bat file example unchanged. The following is my log result of that: [0000.48] Init: Version: 10499 [0000.48] Init: Epic Internal: 0 [0000.48] Init: Compiled (32-bit): Oct 28 2012 02:45:23 [0000.48] Init: Command line: DM-Arena01?Game=RCGame.RCGame_Deathmatch?GoalScore=50?ServerName="John Paul's Game"?online?listen? I will PM the log uncensored (no asterisks) if necessary. |

Right, we'll check out things on the server-side here, see what's what. |

You can try and re-enter the key. Seems there is some authentication funk going on. Head to "MyDocuments/My Games/Rooks Keep/User" and delete the file in there. Also delete from the game install folder: "UDKGame/Config/UDKUserId.ini" Then re-enter the key you got. Also, perhaps send us the log of the player that was trying to connect. |

After deleting those two files and re-entering my key, the server now shows up on the Internet and LAN lists, and I was able to join it via the Internet list despite ping reading N/A - I get a ping only on the LAN tab. Black Eagle mentioned he had seen my server listed previously, but not whether he had a ping for it. I believe I was just doing a listen at that point though, and hadn't explored the .bat option yet. ShadowBlade, I have sent you, via PM, copied text of my server and client log (client log is mine--was trying to connect to my own server)--I received an error when trying to upload them to the board with the .log or .zip extension. Perhaps I could run the .bat file again and you could let me know if you receive any ping at all from it. |

Did you forwarded the ports ? 55001 is the Game port that needs to be forwarded to your machine in case you are behind a router or another gateway. |

I've never needed to forward ports--if I need to do anything at all for games it's been adding the program as an exception. I have no router at all--a direct connection and I don't know what a gateway is. |

Is this dedicated or listen? it appears the same key is being used for two users; host and client. Each will need a unique key. Your server showed up for us. |

It's a dedicated running with your .bat file example, and yes I was attempting to join my own server via my client with the same key. I assumed that would work from the UT days. |

Unfortunately, we were unable to integrate a pinging system into Rooks Keep for online games, this is something that needed more work than was possible at the time, but we will be looking into this in the future. Also, launching a dedicated server and connecting with the same copy is allowed, and should work. |

Can you join the one you host with the LAN one? You can't join your own game from the internet games tab. And, you are hosting and connecting using the same machine, yes? |
