The most likely problem is that there are simply no servers active, something that will, with luck be resolved in the coming months.
For now, the best way to have a multi-player match is to find some friends and start one together.

Hi, I've bought this game yesterday, I've started to play in skirmish (solo) mode. It works pretty well ! But next, I tried to play in multiplayer mode and then nothing happened... no server list, just a black font ... I push "refreshing" a lot of time but nothings happened ... This is very embarasting Ps: sorry for my very poor english, I'm french in fact ^^ I wish you can help me and find an issue to my problem Thanks a lot Storkuk |

Now that the Greenlight ordeal is over and the game is coming to Steam, we will finally see some servers popping up hopefully. The sad reality is that other distribution systems barely have any presence compared to Steam, so up until now Rooks Keep was unable to build a playerbase because of that. The people who currently own Rooks Keep are also way too scattered atm, and it doesn't help that very few of them are able to forward ports in order to host a game. So yeah, waiting on the Steam release. |
