Hi I instaled Rooks Keep on laptop (Intel core 2 duo T5800 2GHZ, ati radeon hd2600pro 3gb ram windows vista service pack 2). Game works but colours are strange. On my desktop pc everything was good and looks ok.
But on my laptop everything looks like that. I have latest video drivers.:

Gah, well that's not very good! :?

Have you experienced this in any other games on your laptop?

It seems the Unreal Engine doesn't agree with something about your hardware/software, causing the shaders to go all funky.

Judging by the fact that only the 3D world is affected, and not the UI, it could be Post-Processing.
Also, I don't see any shadows coming from the characters, did you turn those off in the options?

I'd suggest, if nothing in the options menu helps, you'll have to change some system settings.

Start by navigating to the game's install folder, then find this file: Config\UDKEngine.ini
Find the section: [Engine.Engine]
Replace this line: "DefaultPostProcessName=RC_PostProcess.PP.RC_PostProcess01_PC"
With this: DefaultPostProcessName=EngineMaterials.DefaultScenePostProcess

If that doesn't help, find the file: Config\UDKSystemSettings.ini
Try changing some things to these values under the [SystemSettings] section at the top:

AmbientOcclusion=false
DepthOfField=false
MotionBlur=false
AllowRadialBlur=false

I hope that helps, but I'm largely just guessing here as it looks like a possible AMD issue, was your desktop PC using an Nvidia, or an AMD graphics card? :think:

Thank you very much for your help. It looks that changing settings in Config\UDKSystemSettings.ini helped me. Everything works fine now. I have ati card by the way. :clap: :greetings-waveyellow:
Yes I disable (turn off) shadows and set lowest details

Ah, excellent! :)

You can probably tweak the graphics, turning things in the options menu back on again until you find the single cause and leaving that off, so you can get the game looking as good as possible without issue, if you desire. ;)
