Post subject:  Stuttering when items and decals are removed.

Greetings!

I have been desperately trying to find a solution to this problem. I have been playing the recent 1.09 release. Everything is working great, except when large amounts of items or decals are removed at once, the game stutters like crazy, dropping to around 1-2 fps. So if I incinerate a waste container filled with bullets, garbage, ect, or if I have been walking back and forth over blood puddles, and eventually begin mopping up the mess of footprints all collected in the same space, the game will stutter like crazy, as though the program is trying to take note of everything going away.

I have tried countless things. I normally play on max settings, but I have tried turning everything off or to low, and the exact same stuttering, at the same intervals, remains. I have tampered with various lines in the .ini files (such as the ones stickied by the developers), I have done all the basic stuff, like restart, update drivers, update redists, direct x, ect, I have reinstalled. I have run out of things to try. It feels like a problem that should have a simple solution, which is why it's driving me crazy that I can't figure it out! Please Help! :)

My specs:
Core I5-4690, 3.50 GHz, 6mb Cache
GA-Z97MX Gaming 5 Motherboard
Geforce GTX 960
16GB DDR3 1600MHz
240 GB Ultra 2 SSD (where the game is currently installed.. so it should have really fast read/write)

Any help on this would be really appreciated. I will sing praise of you for eons! :P

*edit* oh yes, and i'm running 64bit windows, and have tried both the 64bit and 32bit executables.. same problem..

Hmm, I'm not sure much can be done about this.
Of course, I'm assuming you're experiencing the normal slowdown during these times. It should only last a couple seconds. It doesn't last any longer does it? If it does, then that is definitely irregular.

The problem I'm referring to isn't related to any actual game settings, it is more, as you stated a result of the game tracking objects.

A large part of this has to do with the way the engine creates/destroys objects. Sometimes it can get slow. On top of this, the game itself is making all sorts of calls upon destruction of objects. To improve the speed we'd need to overhaul a whole bunch of things. It's certainly not a mistake we'll make in the future, but it's likely to stay this way for now I'm afraid. :-\
