I'd normally be right up for something like this, but if they're playing vanilla 1.5x speed then it's a toss-up as to who's gonna win.

We're probably going to host it on two servers, one being a tactical standard server with the fully upgraded bonus packs and Conflict (Maybe TAM) and the other being their fast paced one.

This will probably be part "massive online balance test" and part "fun combat training" if things work out. With prizes of course.

Now, unfortunately I have not yet coded in gangsta aiming for akimbo weapons. But when I do, the BAMFs in all of us will hold our sideways GRS1 in the right hand and upside down AH208 in the left. Like a true pro.

Also, the prototype-filled pack may be getting new additions in the tune of these two test candidates.

Ooh-ooh! I have an idea for the GRS1 Weapon Description!

"The GRS1 was supposed to be the upgraded version of the standard GRS9 Pistol, by adding compensators and a specialized bolt, along with a nickel finish, the standard model became upgraded into a machine pistol to be used by counter-terrorism units. Sadly, because of the horrible inaccuracy, the CTU's dropped the GRS1 in favor of other machine pistols like the XRS-10 and the MDR-88. But Var Dehidra and his cronies picked up a stash of GRS1's and found good use for them, using them to keep enemies at bay, even tilting to the side like gangsters of the old."

I like it. You even tied in the Var Dehidra as well! Expect to see it in modified form in the next update.

These guys will probably be joining their lesser-developed friends on the weekend.
Below is a picture of the shockwave induced by the LAW mini-nuke. (Contrary to what you might be thinking though, this gun actually does far less damage than the BFG, and is mainly intended to be used against vehicles.)

GRS1 looks good (Gangster Style reminds me of the old ut goty enforcer i used to use!). For the bulldog, I still reckon chambering a grenade and firing it with primary would be a good idea, as others explained. that gauss gun impaley thing sounds quite good. I always loved alternate propulsion systems, especially electromagnetic induction field propulsion.

I take it that the EP90 terran energy pistol will be replacing the XR4 Energy weapon, correct? (Since the XR4 is nothing unique, just a blue blob shooter, could easily be merged with something else)

Is the pack open for ideas? I noticed it has lots of and millions of weapons, while development is going quite slow, in my opinion.

Yeah, it's because I have two primary work computers and the files and textures do not always get swapped between them. On the week days I work on the laptop which only has the main guns, and on the weekends I work with the massive prototype-filled pack. If you see a .zip file when you're starting to download the pack, it's going to be the reduced Laptop version.

Strelet12, the pack is not really open for ideas at the moment, as most of these prototypes actually have models complete for them or models being made. Development is only going as fast as they are getting finished, and there is nothing I can do to change that. Feel free to suggest stuff, though.

For the GRS1, gangster style replaces the ironsgihts, which are fairly useless on this inaccurate gun.

Well.. The PC I'm using now will probably run UT fine... I'll find out soon... I'm installing UT now... Then I gotta go get the mods, and the skin I use.

Oh, that's perfect about the GRS1, you're not too right about the IronSights being useless. But if the inaccuracy and recoil scale is 100%, that's true, especially when you just take one little step.

I do have to suggest, but now there's a lot. It's mostly from Id games.

I had wantness of Doom 3 and Classic Doom Plasmagun on the game, but they're way too away from ballistic and unless someone knows how to make it look like one of the Ballistic Weapons then that would be nice. Though, don't make this if it'll slower development of this pack.

What seems to be a Ballistic Weapon is the Assault Rifle from Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. And also the Strogg's Plasmagun, main weapon of all Strogg class, forgot what name it really was. Yeah, the Strogg weapon has no hands on it and it's "implemented" on the Cyborg. But still, if you have a good imagination we can make it.

As long as these ideas are good, but/and slower down the development, then please don't make them yet, do it for the other pack version.

Heh heh, if you look closely, we actually have quite a couple guns that take cues from Doom and Quake already. Chainsaws, Fists, Double barreled shotguns, BFGs (Which has the D3 plasma gun taped on as secondary), low-ROF chaingun style XMB-500 miniguns, etc.

Getting some descriptions done:

M70 Nuclear Light Anti-Tank Weapon

Manufacturer: UTC Defense Tech
Primary: Launch Mini-Nuke
Secondary: DANCE DANCE

When facing massive hoards of Cryon death-bots, overkill is sometimes not enough. That's where the M70 Nuclear Light Anti-tank Weapon comes in. Unlike conventional anti-tank weapons, the M70 Nuclear LAW launches a mini-nuclear bomb instead of a high speed shaped charge. While the mini-nuke does not necessarily penetrate armor, the massive shockwave it generates will effectively do the job by liquefying the organs of all inside. A marvelous weapon to use against hardened structures and vehicles, the M70 is nevertheless heavily disliked by troops, who are often unable to accommodate for its massive blast zone. Fireteams equipped with the weapon almost always come back with minor radiation poisoning and internal bleeding. However, the M70 LAW in the end shows that tactical nuclear munitions can be effective in the right scenarios. However, if this is light, I'd hate to see heavy.

The automatic variant was designed with use by counter-terrorism units in mind, but sadly a lack of compensator gave the gun horrible inaccuracy and recoil. Most CTU's quickly dropped the GRS1 in favor of other more accurate machine pistols like the XRS-10 and the XK2, however infamous outlaw Var Dehidra and his cronies stole a stash of GRS1's and found good use for them. They were known for spraying them to keep enemies at bay and even tilting them to the side like gangsters of old. Their brazen use of police equipment inspired robberies throughout the cosmos!

Haha, I'm glad you guys noticed the similarities! I just beat those two games and absolutely loved 'em. The M-5 Phalanx from the second one was just a blast to use ingame.

Yeah, I already noticed that when I got your second pack.

I love those weapons, but what I'm actually saying is to make them look nearly as exact as the Doom 3 weapons. Like that BFG, a badass gun, but simply a recoloured version of the Lightning Gun.

And damn, when I used the second fire of BFG, that became my gun baby. I love the sounds from Doom 3, I don't know why they hated them, they all were very great and perfect.
