I can't get this pack to work.
I've added the files to their respective folders, but I only get duplicates of all the existing weapons (of which some have slight changes in their names).

I've already installed BW2.5, patched UT2004 to 3369 (or whatever the newest is) and moved the pack files to their correct places.

Help!

Try putting the .bat file in your main UT2004 directory and double clicking it. It's designed to remove the duplicates.

I don't see any .bat files in the pack I downloaded - are you talking about the one that came with BW2.5? If so, wouldn't it just uninstall BW2.5, leaving me with a (nearly) unmodded game?

The bat file in the BW 2.5 install rar does clean everything yes (including ini files!). It is meant as an uninstaller but it can and should also be used to vaporize all traces of older BW versions so that BW 2.5 can be installed clean.

Sarge supplies bat files as of V9 betas to clean up older versions of his pack (one for older versions and one for V9).

The weird thing, however, is that I'm doing this off a fresh install of UT2004.

I patched the game, downloaded CPB1, CPB2, ONS-Icarus, Thedeck2004, BW2.5, Balance pack, Xgame and this pack. What is the cause of this stupid issue, and why are the bonus weapons from this pack not even visible?


By using the .bat file, wouldn't I just be left with a non-functioning bonus pack, as I wouldn't have BW in the game?

Perhaps you may have version 8. The .bat files are in the pack V9 (http://www.4shared.com/file/TBPVhOo6/Mo ... -2011.html). These files allow you to uninstall the 6, 8 and 9 versions with their respective files of Sergeant Kelly's Ballistic Weapons Bonus Pack.

But be carefull if you use the .bat file that comes in Ballistic Weapons 2.5, you risk to uninstall the main mod. If you uninstall BW2.5, the Sgt. Kelly bonus pack will not work.

I'm pretty sure you downloaded Azarael's BallisticPro mod by accident. BallisticPro (among other things) modifies the existing weapons to improve balance, gameplay, etc., and adds various bugfixes and compatibility with other UT2k4 mutators/mods.

Kelly, you really ought to add your download links to your signature. They'll be much easier to find that way.

LS14 seems to have no impact sound. Every time I'm killed by it, I never hear it actually hit me.

EDIT: Also, the autocannon super shotgun thing's icon is backwards. Possibly intentional, but strange-looking all the same

The sawn-off's aren't held correctly in third-person.
The right sawn-off floats a little in front of the hand, and the left sawn-off floats behind the your character's left elbow, pointing backwards.
I think everything else I've noticed has been posted here already.

Yes i had that problem with the desert eagle from this pack and the other from jack carvers and fishe11's pack

The packs still in beta so they'll be bugs sgt kelly hasnt sorted out or has missed, but the other weapons kick so much ass you need to spray it with boot polish

The AH208 in this pack won't display correctly when duel wielded in 1st person either, still upside down on the left AFAIK

Sgt. Kelly, AH104 hasn't got a pickup model for its ammunition

Found a good one, there is no visual recoil when the SRS-M2 is sighted in.

Because common sense is a good thing, I have listened to people and added the constantly updating link to my signature.

Now you will unfortunately not have to search through approximately 100 pages to find links. It is a sad day.

Haha yeah I was just noticed that too When you dual wield them, in 1st person view you've got 4 hands and the left two are holding the gun upside down (like a boss)
