Started the anims of the Mac-10.... this is going to take a while... good thing I got lots of time. My main problem is getting the damn gun itself to attach properly to bones I create specifically for it! Oh fun... but hey, I'm trying my best to get this into BW at a resonable pace. I think I'm still set for a Christmas release of at least a beta of the Mac-10, but anims might make this take unforeseen extra time.

How about an attachment that can fire a net? Big enough to capture one or two players and keep them prone for like 15 seconds.

There's a reason I am trying to go for simplicity within these weapons: I can't code very well. Unless you can code that, I'm unable to make something like that.

Not much is coming off the ground ATM. Due to unforeseen situations (Xav not being online to show me how to cut animations for use in UT...), I don't think I'm getting very close to even releasing even the Mac-10 by Christmas.

However, I do have a Mac-10 firing sound now, along with an Uzi's! Just need a few more though... oh, just found some for a 9mm which I think I like for the ARB-27 (CZ75's fire sound), and then one for the P90.

Edit: I have the weapon jointed, so I can start animating, even without needing to cut anim sets for UT. I can actually get something done...

Working on an idle anim... that's pretty easy, but I do want it to seem quite human, so I'm taking a little bit of time to work on it also. Maybe I'll do a long idle anim... in case a person doesn't do much... kinda like Far Cry 2 does.

Edit2: I've gotten idle anims done, a fire anim finished, pullout and putaway anims in v1 stage, and am only needing to work on silencer on/off anims, reloading, cocking, and cock-after-reload anims. Then I can cut those up and then place them into UT!

I hope you're not thinking of making anything Crysis-ish...

Not so sure what you mean about making it Crysis-ish... but Crysis is definately not the worst game in the world. Just look up Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. That takes that title 100x over any other game IMO.

That SMG looks great! I really like the design, as I always liked the P90 magazine system. I would just make the font of the grip a bit more ergonomically so that it's not that straight. The rear side of the grip really looks ergonomic. This one will definitely do a good job in KF too .
btw you should check your PM.

Thanks Jack, I'll probably end up changing that grip at some point... it does look a bit off on the front-side, huh? As for making this for KF... hmm... that might be a possibility once I do get around to finishing animations for this thing!

Edit2: In light of my moronicism (yay, I new wordificated something!), I decided to work on the ARB-27 instead. It looks like it will be a bit of hell to animate considering it's more of a two-handed weapon, but still able to perform single handed-ness.

It's not because it goes slow and all of that crap.

I know you need the best videocard ever (Geforce 9800 GX2 or Geforce GTX 280)

But it's the gameplay,so crappy,you have like only 16 weapons to choose. The AI just sucks,they go round there and there until they spot you. Seriously,UT2004 can't have way worser AI than that.

And the storyline...What's it all about? You're a Special Forces Soldier who got a mission to do some hostage rescue and find out what these Koreans are doing. But before that,an "Unidentified Humanoid" appears,and he devours one of his mates. After a long crappy journey,you get captured why the Korean Special Forces,and after that you kill the Korean General and go rescue a girl,while you get trapped in the cave and get in a strange area. Creepy? NOT EVEN A ♥♥♥♥♥ BIT. That tunnel just leaded you to a territory filled with uninteresting aliens!

And the sound...I promise,if I'll ever hear another sound or music from Crysis I'll cut my throat and die with great pain.

The only good thing I saw are the graphics. Not really,It's way too freaking blurry and the bloom looks like 20x
You also need a shitty DirectX 10 to activate the Very High features. The reason is because Microsoft wants us to go and get Vista already.

Crysis isn't really bad game, I have it and it isn't really that bad.

Yes the vehicle sections were stupid, but it was still fun when you get the pyro bullets for the FY-74

Speaking of which, OCAdam, I would love to see a SMG that has incendiary bullets.

Hehe... that'd be fun to have! Although... I'd have to see about making an SMG designed around that concept. Notice how Crysis had the incediary ammo clips even shaped differently. I'll do a bit more by adding a small flame tip to the end of the muzzle of the gun.

Bullpup SMG... that would be something to make some concept art of soon! Might actually be pretty cool to make in the end too... but that's a design I'll be looking around in my mind for...

How about that Bullpup AR used by Major Kusanagi in that Ghost in the Shell series? You could take that design and then just mess with it to make a SMG. Make it smaller, give it an eotech 521 series reflex sight, built in or detachable silencer, etc. What do you think?

Edit: I'm getting a lot of help from Jack and fische now, so the ARB should be getting itself some really good UV maps and animations sometime soon! The Mac-10, however, I'm still trying to animate myself (one handed weapons are probably a good place to start with animating, ya know?).

Maybe, although I think you would just have to change the clip size. There's a conversion kit for the L85 that switches it from firing 5.56x45mm to .22. However they downsized its fire-mode from auto, semi-auto and bolt action to just a semi-auto firing mode. This is the conversion kit title : L14A1 (Heckler & Koch) .22RF conversion kit for the L85A1/2 (SA80). Im currently looking for pictures of it.
