Bad luck with power supplies?

Of my long PC history, I've only had a Super Socket 7 blow up.

First mobo had malfunctioning RAM slots, second mobo was missing parts, the third mobo is currently working like a charm.

First computer has since been repaired, but lacks sound. Triple systems are now online!

Time to test this puppy out.

First, let me thank you for this awsome mod of an awsome mod of an awsome update of an awsome game. BW is one hell of a mod and you made it even better^^

Got a few problems, though.
1) Is it possible to add your weapons to assault and onslaught using the normal bw swapping mutator? Somehow only the normal bw25 weapons spawn in these modes and i think there is even a preference for weapons of older versions (M50, M353, G5, etc)?

2) The SRS Mod-2 and to some degree the R98 are hard to use, since their Iron Sights are very bulky.

3) When i use the kelly pack v9 and Fische11`s and Jack Carver`s Weapon Pack UT04 constantly crashes in most matches and shows weapon or ammo objects in the log. Is it because of engine limitations or am i doing something wrong?

Being remedied for V10. The SRS Mod-2 now has an EOTech sight and the R98 is probably going to get a new model.



Ah, yes. We made too many weapons for the engine, having them all available tends to crash the engine. Using the "Reloaded" cheat is a guaranteed crash now days. We don't really have any solutions for this at the moment other than to just limit the number of weapons available, which admittedly is kind of a sucky solution.

My suggestion for #3 is play on ... um. ... that... one game type that it's team vs. team but you only get one life for the round.

Conflict! Yeah. play on conflict on CTF maps. This will allow you to play with any gun you want. Find your favorites and then cut out the middle-guns you don't like.

I've narrowed my swapping list to 4 guns per category this way. I still have variety, but I also don't overload everything.

R98 getting a new model? Awesome

I'd like to ask that the old model be kept under the "Classic Model" option, if it wouldn't be too much hassle.

Yeah, can I make a request? Can you take out the special weapons that randomly spawn in place of the original? Or make them available for selection in swapping and loadouts? Or just have an option to turn it off? It sounds nitpicky and you guys have done such a great job but nevertheless, I would really love it if it were taken out. It's too unpredictable for me to have fun with honestly.

For example, the M30A1. Sometimes you'll get a camo'd version that has full auto fire. Or the RS04 with the silencer.

Also, you guys probably already know, but the prototype FG50 HMG has a bug where if you fire it and put it away before it stops smoking, the muzzle flash will not appear anymore. (Still, I freaking love firing that gun. So satisfying...)

And a weapon request that will probably be ignored but that's OK. Just putting it out there. The Scarab Gun.

AND... Lastly but definitely not least, I want to thank all of you who were involved with making Ballistic Weapons and its outstanding mods. In all my years of playing and seeing all kinds of FPS', I have seen few who have weapons that can equal BW's and its respective mods. I'm gonna point out the ones that really stood from the base BW mod and the mods.

Base: The M50. And in every game that I've started that has Ballistic Weapons loaded up, this is usually somewhere in my swappings and loadouts because it's powerful, effective, balanced, fun to fire, versatile, and, IMO, looks beastly whether when you view it from a First Person perspective or when you're looking at it in someones hands. The whole weapon just reeks of polish and detail. I mean, you know that little red light on the side of the gun? Did you know it turns on and off depending on whether there's a grenade in the launcher?

Sergeant Kelly's WP: This one was hard because you guys have a lot of standouts here but if I had to choose one, it would be the XMB-500 Personal Minigun. I can't really describe why for this one but it DEFINITELY feels and fires how a Minigun in a game should be. This is one of my faves to use in Invasion or just plain carving up a horde of novice bots on the opposite team coming after me. Hearkens back to the great Minigun in Serious Sam: First and Second Encounters.

Fische and Carver's WP: The Desert Eagle .50. This thing is OP'd but I don't care because it actually feels like the kick-ass pistol that it should. Fast reload times, a decent clip, good accuracy, and a great firing rate and good sounds make it the best weapon I've seen in the pack and, in actuality, the best pistol I've used in BW. Although the AH208, RS04, and M806A2 comes very close to it.

The camo system will be fixed in V10 with a lot of available camos. Each time you spawn, you get a random camo version. It's IMO one of the best features of the upcoming pack, beside the several neat weapons with all their new functionalities.

Yep. I've added weapons to the swapping-menu, but it doesn't change anything. The only weapons spawning in these modes are the classic bw ones.



And yet another reason to be looking forward to v10^^



Too bad. But i assume it doesn't matter mutch if you dont cheat. Will the v10 as sole bw mod already cause this problem?

try deleting BWCache.ini this usually solves that problem, if it still persists you may be missing a requirement, but unfortunatley i can't remember those(no longer have UT installed since my install disk is fracked up )

Thx, now it works. More or less. On the beginning of a the last match only original runestorm weapons spawned, including a few sidearms which where supposed to replace only assault riffles, and later the portion of mod weapons constantly rised. And i don't even want to speek of the 6 metres high M925.
It's a bit weird. But it works. And that's the most important thing. I think.
