So what is the actual problem with the turret?

it needs lots of adjustments, mainly in visual parts. online it is pointless to use it too. though it's functionality is there.

also, there are other bugs to fix in other weapons.
but don't worry, the more you wait, the more you will get!

Progress is continuing as usual. I've also updated the front page with the current weapon stuff.
The new guns are complete and the few remaining bugs that managed to sneak in are being squashed as we speak.

Here's one big change:

- SM-AT/AA secondary fire now requires a 2 second charge up time before blowing up. This will stop people from scope-exploding and should reduce server greifage somewhat.

any other changes? - and btw, the SMAT secondary fire is bugged : )

Awesome. My laptop always lags when the bots decide to spam that secondary fire all over the place. Now I'll have a chance to blow the sucka's up.

Primary AH104 changes since last version:

- New, beefier fire sound. Sounds more like a .600 now.
- Much more damage.
- Improved accuracy.
- Only pierces armor on headshots.

General info:

The AH104 now does massive damage at close range but then weakens considerably at longer ranges. While it is the most accurate of all the pistols, the high recoil and chaos will force you to re-aim after each shot. A headshot is almost guaranteed lethal as not even armor will protect you from one.

Use the laser and aim high.




There's also a chance of it getting a new model.

- Stop SM-AT/AA suicide jamming on partial charge. *FIXED*
- Configure projectile code to stop odd wall behavior. *FIXED*
- Get the X-83 turret model modified for correct behavior.

The first two will be tackled this weekend and the turret .psk has been extracted. I might need some help from the RS devs though, as Wangtang and I don't know what's wrong with it.

I thaught of this last night. the BW mod doesnt have a 6 pack (or more) grenade launcher. Also, it has incendiary, toxic gas, and frag grenades. But no toxic gas, incendiary anti-personnel mines. To make the incendiary APM less OP eliminate or reduce the effect of caching some one on fire if there close to the explosion that does massive amounts of Damage OT.

And I think anything with a bipod when you deploy the bipod you should be able to deploy it prone and be able to mount it (wile standing up) on a ledge thats just the right height like in CoD Big Red 1. And with the M925 and the M353 you just crouch. also if the X-82 A2 wont have a working bipod then make a sniper with a WORKING bipod.

Couple problems there.

First off, making a NEW sniper rifle would push the release date back much, much further. People won't like that.

Second, if we could simply make a sniper rifle with a working bipod as you suggest, don't you think this problem would already be fixed?

Besides, its hard for me to consider myself nice when I enjoy banning skid marks from the forum, even if it is a public service.

So what's the X83 mainly meant for? Sniping single targets, holding a choke & popping heads & limbs off those trying to get by, 'er making vehicles go boomrarz?
