This mutator makes BX5-SM land mine safe for player which have placed this mine like in BW 2.0.

Download: Ballistic Friendly Mines Mutator (Version 1.3)

Mutator Updates:
Version 1.1
- Added teamlights of the mines configuration feature.

Version 1.2:
- Mutator reworked and recompiled for compatibility with BW v2.5.
- Added lights of the enemy mines in non-teambased gametypes.

Version 1.3:
- Added support of M46 rifle mines
- Added options for enabling/disabling support of each type of mines

I have updated the mutator with one new feature. Look for download in first post.
New version can reconfigure teamlights of the mines trough menu.

Now you can see teamlights of mines placed by enemies and by yourself or turn off all lights of the mines.
To understand see screenshots:

In this screenshot all lights is on - you can see one mine placed by enemy, two mines placed by teammate and 3 mines placed by yourself. Your own mines is marked with white light.

Image <- The lights of your own mines are visible also in non-teambased gametypes. This screen shows Deathmatch.
Now you always can identify what mine is yours or not.

Very nice. Drastically reducing the number of bot suicides.

Small nitpick: 'show enemy beacons' doesn't work in non-team games. It seems intentional, but why disable that feature in DM-games?

This mutator also drastically reducing the number of PLAYER suicides :D and increases the usability of mines.

Yes, this is intentional. Because in non-team games you must only know is the mine yours or not and nothing more because all other mines is your enemies by default. In team-based games all other mines have teamcolored beacons but in non-team games there is no teams. I can make for example green or any other-colored lights for showing enemy mines in non-team games but i think this has no sense...

nice! I do have the no-self damage mutator, so the bots wont suicide, but i thonk its really funny, just because they flip out at each other in team games, but it would be nice to disable self damaging mines, especially when you cant make team mines go off by standing on them, just not realistic that way!

And now the Show enemy mines beacons option affects also non-teambased gametypes.

I also thought about this. But for this i need a source code of the new weapons. If someone can decompile new BW, then i will try to make this.

We might be distributing the source code in the near future. We're extremely busy at the moment (and for a while), but we've put some time aside for it and a few other small tasks not directly linked to our immediate project :)

Well it works great and turns the M46's mines into a wickedly useful tool. The lights on the mines look sweet also. Again thanks for the mut update.

Unfortunately, this seems to not be working right online... No beacons appear, even when the mutator is loaded. In particular, the lights do not show...

Oddly enough, I had it in server packages... and the lights still did not show. I've used the download at the top of the page.
