hi there, im new to the forum. but not BW and i got to say its the best. no doubt. but there is one gun im so surprised that no one has thought of adding the classic M40 sniper rifle D: i mean this has to be one of the greatest sniper rifles of all time. maybe add it in a later bonus pack? i mean this merely by asking nicly of course ^__^

It's an accurate, durable platform, that with the standard 7.62mm NATO round, is quite serviceable in its roll.

The R78 is, essentially, the same thing with different paint.

I'm with Corsair, we already have this.

Personally I want to see more futuristic weapons, not all these modern guns. And if we need to have modern guns I would suggest an XM2010 or a Barrett XM500, rather than something from the vietnam war.

Other than that I don't care people is free to suggest anything they want, the final word comes to the people who make the mod packs.

the R78 is not like this.... i can see how you could say that, but its not the same,the bolt on the R78 doesnt retract like it does on the M40, M40 doesnt have iron sights, and the M40 is more bad ass :banana-dance: and i only made this post because it is an epic weapons system, but yes in the wrong zone im sorry xD, but it could go in the WWII and 60's pack that i read about. its just a classic weapon that im saying, also i like futuristic weapons too, but sometimes its the good old ones that get the job done :)

As conventional sniper rifle go I think its pretty well coverd, from caliber to fire rate.
That seem to be a lot of work for just a new paint job. IMO

I wasn't aware that the purpose of BW was to take realistic weapons and put them directly into the game despite their role and function completely obscuring other weapons, in this case the R78.

well i wasnt saying tke the M40 and make it exactly into BW i was merely say that im suprised no one has thought of making a M40 BW cus its a pro rilfe you know?

Indeed. The BW team prefer to create their own intellectual property these days instead of making Expys of modern weaponry.

Great, when are you starting? =P

Making a weapon pack takes alot of time and resources, great if a modder likes the idea and does it. But if you want to see it then it is a case of DIY...

If you could do one section (ie modelling, animation, coding etc) then you are more likely to see it.

lol i wish i could had some ofthose skill but saddly....i do not :/ which is really sad cus i have lots of ideas that never rly see the production line. because lack of "mod" skills

Give it a try, it is hard to learn, but worth it if you have that many ideas.

Blender is the most used modeling program used by this lot, and if you are new to 3d design, not too bad to learn (I had used proDesktop before... I found it hard to use blender afterwards >.< )

You should give it a try! Thats why we started making mods, cause its the only real way to have one's ideas get made. There lotsa folks here that'll give you helpful input and advice.

Well try it dude, I wasn't a modeler until I spent time on it, if you know friends that wants to participate you can tell. there is mods who are waiting for modelers and animators
PS: there is free programs to do it.
there is tutorials in the sections and if that's not sufficient you can always check tutorials on youtube.

Don't give up! After working at it for a while, you'll realize "Hey! This model ain't so bad". And it'll go from there :)

Don't leave the try it's always hard at first, watch the tutos over and over. I needed a couple of days to get a bit of mastering the basics.
after that everything runs in place.
just try to make little things by little things.
It's a bit frustrating at first, but once you get it, it's satisfying.
