This is a simple tweak to the Outsider 3rd person Mutator.

Downloaded -> Great Mod!

It's fun!
The laser thing at sniper rifles is great!

But a few things:
Laser sights don't work properly. Otherwise great!

BW in third person could be like GTA4 or Just cause 2 - very nice! But the only thing that I don't like about BW in third person is the missing reload animations... Just something simple would do it. :violin:

Blame ut04. Its not very recptive to adding on anims to existing player models.

Yeah, missing animations can be annoying.
Too bad BW hasn't much new animations like KF for example.

The team could sure have another animator to help them... :/

indeed, more animations are nice, but IMO the little things like reloading in 3rd person is not needed,

unless of course, ur willing to do so for EVERY SINGLE GUN we have right now, at least over 80 lolz GL HF.

I have seen a mod using the "change weapon" animation for reloading. That would be enough for BW too IMO. And this way one would not have to do new animations. Probably only requires to add a little bit of code. Or even just a little mutator perhaps? :P

What tweaks are you added from the original version?

The old Outsider mutator works good for me with Ballistic Weapons (maybe I couldn't played so much for see the existing errors)

If someone wants see this mutator on images, you can pass the Screenshots thread made by CMGuy. (viewtopic.php?f=95&t=77178)

Don't forget to contribute with some screenshots! ;D

The Pawn classes now reference BW's Pawn classes, that means u can use the swap system again, and also fixes not being able to sprint sumtimes.

Hmm, yeah. Pump-action shotguns would need an animation too, but that one is not relevant to tactics, whereas seeing that the guy in front of you reloading his gun ables you to go and take some shots at him without having to worry about being hit back.
(-> enables careful aiming if not under fire by someone else)

Not a fair comparison. The KF guys made everything from ground up. The BW guys tried to make sure their stuff would work with everything, working off someone else's content. KF guys made their models to have the extra animations from the start, no need to worry if your downloaded models will be compatible with it, or if you will be able to tack on extra anims or not.

Look at YARM for example. They had to compromise by having only their player models include the new anims, if you want to use a custom model, you're out of luck.

That makes more sense.
Ballistic Weapons really work well with a lots of mods...

Ooops! I didn't noticed from this problem. Now I see the Ballistic Weapons HUD system works fine.

So, thank you for the improvements man! :D

Only one little thing: I configured the mutator for start in 3rd person, but I join the game in 1st person (but this isn't problem for me).

I've been lookin' for a 3rd person mod.

The one I got was something called "Angel", don't remember, it was a pack with three mutators.

This is the thing that I needed, I will try when I get the mood to play UT2004 again. Thanks for making.

You may also upload it somewhere, so that not everyone on this forum need to contact you via x-fire ;)

This is the link that I tried using. When I go there, it starts to download it like normal, then I get this:

Firefox can't find the file at http://media1.gamefront.com/guploads/20 ... c0765149e1.

My Internet explorer is not working that well, so I started using firefox. It downloads other files from there with no problem, so it must be this file itself. If anyone has this, please send it to me.
