Good news everyone, we just started on making a halo weapons pack, now for the more exotic ones like the energy sword are still far off, were happy to say we started on it now. :P

For now, the M7 Case-less SMG and the M6 Spartan Laser is being worked on, but there are sum problems we are facing right now...

there are also sum root errors with the model, SPAM says he cant fully convert it for UT2004, so any help is appreciated.

k, that's reassuring thank you :), and iv been reading, some coding tuts, and its really hard for me, wish i could do modeling, but i tried that lol, not so good, but ill take more shots at both, maybe ill get it down, and help with this mod someday :)

only thing we might need help is exporting the animation package, not quite sure y cant we export it, the models might not be fully compatible...

u have to ask SPAM for that, im not modeling it, but i do have a 3DS app and a Blender App, but as i said, u need to ask SPAM about it.... Ill ask about it now.

What would be some good FREEware programs for modeling/skinning/coding, i would like to try and help (i is completley inexperienced so also would need links to some good tutorials)

we are still getting exporting errors...

namely its an VECTOR COPLANAR exporting error.

Help plz!!!! :confusion-helpsign: anyone? :cry:

Check your geometry. I think vector Coplanar means there are three faces sharing one edge, which is bad. :P

I am not 100% sure on this, but I am pretty sure it involves bad geometry of some sort.

Its easy enough to fix, just disconnect the offending of ways, could do this a couple of ways. The problem is finding the buggers.

Ah yeah, I know what that's like. Particularly if its not even your own model. Yikes. How many have this problem?

And my tip: delete large sections of the gun and try exporting. Do this several times with different chunks; preferably smallish chunks (divide it up into 6 or so chunks), and export each chunk, find out what chunks export and what parts don't. This will help you narrow down the problem area(s).

With the long absence of SPAM(or doing sumthing else, no offense dude u has other things to dos so I understand) and with my lack of experience in anything but coding, I cant really get the weapons pack I have going.....Im trying my best but at this pace its gonna be a LOOOONG shot.

If anyone is willing to help or send word to other ut2004 forums for help on this its very much appreciated... :doh: (the Epic games forums never gave me permission to have an account apparently... :'( )

Im kinda stuck working with the Halo Weapons Pack alone for the most part. But Ill try my best, but as again, any more help would be nice.

No promises, but I might be able to animate and code up the break open grenade launcher for you, maybe. We'll see once RecolorsV9 is wrapped up. But again, no promises.

Just got an update from SPAM, the M7 SMG and Laser have their animations fixed, but the export problem remains the same. I told him about your word but I guess hes still facing a problem.

I can provide the file itself if you want, to see wuts going on.

I believe he does need help...
