(.308) Is far too big for a pistol, its a rifle cartridge and in order to get the materials to build a pistol like that would be extremely expensive and hard to do as the shear stress that round would create on a pistol would be extraordinary, I think the best thing to make it in would be .45 acp. Also I thought you couldnt own pistols over there.

What do you mean by marksman? Is he a marksman in the military, or is he a fellow that can shoot really well.

I actually do mean using that rifle round . I'm using a rifle barrel, and very heavy duty parts. It's meant to be a fun-gun. Nothing for competitions and stuff like that. If I'm lucky, I'll be mentioned in the national gun magazine

Oh alright, neat, so what kind of system is it gonna be blowback, delayed blowback, gas, or recoil? ( i think I already know the answer, but im just curious)

I think the recoil will do, if not, there's plenty of space for a delayed blowback cylinder. Currently I'm still calculating the sizes and all.

Blow back would be too difficult as the action would have to weigh around 20 pounds in order to keep the gun from blowing apart on the first shot.

I personaly think a gas operated system would be the best, Recoil would not be easy either but it wouldnt need as much resources as blowback.

Another big problem is gonna be timing.
