Adam first off your trying to compare eggs to hand grenades, this be a bolt action the srs, m50, SAR12 are "Assault" rifles. I was bored this is something i did in like 10 mins in class. I dont care for any of the current "assault" rifles so i figured id go with something i know and like, which is bolt action. Scopes are silly, thats also the reason i did it.

Bullpup bolt actions are ugly lookin (not that the R78U4 is perty) Never cared too much for bullpups. The current british rifle is as bad as the american m16 if not worse. The only good bullpups out there is the romanian one based off the ak47 and the french FA MAS.

I never cared to much for the SRS because of the scope. If there were an iron sight version then id be using it more.

Does anyone want this thing? if not its just taking up space on my HD at school.

I also turn it to Semi-Auto. Here's how I use the so-called ARs:

M50: long range AR, grenade for distractions
S-AR12: short range AR, indoors (main weapon)
SRS900: low end sniper, semi-auto only, take out crappy infantry (R78 for primary targets)

There are alot more revisions on the way, so keep an eye out for a more up to date version of the rifle.

I kinda like this new design a lot more. It does have a bit of M16 (not M4) styling in that front grip. ^_^

That barrel looks a lot nicer now too. I'm getting the G3 and M16 feeling on it now.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon and saying I like the previous version's barrel better.

I didn't ask to see a texture, i asked to see a non render or a different model color to see the models details better.

I didnt like the old barrel for one reason, if you touch that barrel after firing quite a bit you will burn your hand thats why many military firearms have full handgaurds. Like the Mosin nagant, the mausers, enfields etc.

Its got a wood upper hand gaurd and a wood foregrip. wood rear stosck, and wood pistol grip.

I kinda was thinking G3 as well when i saw it, and ak47, not so much m16 (they suck) because its void of plastic parts.

Ok heres the newest version. This time with a retracting magnatized bayonet, that way you just have to hit the button on the side of the foregrip. Well bjossi im lookin for some one to texture and animate but if you wanna move it thats cool, i have no problem. Yeah its a little block but im working on it.

So far im pretty happy with it.

I'll move it there temporarily. If the weapon gets complete and playable in-game, then it will belong in the BW Mods section.

Looking forward to see future screenshots, btw. It is definitely a promising model.

I know someone that can code it for me. I think i almost got the model finished. Just a few more tweaks.

It looks like it would be EASY to code actually. The only 'hard' part would be triggering the bayonet release animation and pulling it back, but that still would be a bit of just copy+paste code.

I could also help out with the code, though it might be a little challenging getting the weapon to actually switch its secondary fire mode. I used firemodes on my weapons to get the effect you're looking for.

*Giggles like a japanese schoolgirl* I like the idea of a huge, magnetised bayonet. Little bugger with a shotgun running up to you? No problem! At the press of a button, a huge spike goes straight through em. Plus, the heavy bullets at moderate speed remind me of a powered-up Ranger rifle (I think that's the nickname? Not sure...).

Heavy bullet? depends what grain the round is, i got 7.62x54r ranging from 147-186 grain, the 147 is meant for normal infantry rifles where the 186 is generaly meant for machineguns. I use it in my normal rifles though seeing as i dont have a machinegun (yet) The 186 can punch through most armors and some steel plates, the 147 can go through some armor and a few milimeters of steel plate.

once i get access to the school computer i got some mroe updates in mind.
