i´m making a new map to use with AP4 (AirPower4).
its a really big terrain with high hills and mountains.
there are two main bases in the map.
the main vehicles i'm planning to add are airplanes and choppers.
its still under construction, but the terrain is ready.
and maybe i will add some carz to the map.
and a few small bases for if you get blown out of your plane, and need a new vehicle to get back to your base.
and you can actually use the mountains as cover when you fly close to the ground.

i will try to make some screenshots later on.

hey MMM make sure you can fly high, I don't like to be pushed so closely to the ground by a stallzone.
If you can fly really high, you can fly unnoticed above people who are flying really low, and fighting with planes really high is much more fun too

Yeah, that would be cool, especially if you throw in some cloud cover somehow so higher altitude planes could go unnoticed to lower alt. planes and vice-versa.

Sounds like a cool map, by the way.

A volume with fog...
Emitter for effects...
Skyzone could give problems...

anyways I love playing AP4 with BW

also for cars have a liner set of roads they can follow if stunt vechile are not on (because if they are you can just hold c and drive up the mountins) and posibly a mountin path or two for people on foot

oh and don't forget to inculde Advanced armor and Battle bike vechiles if you inculde ground vechiles

Needs more trees, copy them from ONS-Dria. Really, barren terrain.

It is ture, hard to tell where I'm going, with some terran features (trees a river and posibly a road) would make it less... bland... and there should be more cover (such as our good friend, the crate) and detial (runways and such) in the bases, though at it's current state it still beats some maps i've seen played

ok i'll add a bit of sun light and detail.
but no trees, that’s because i would have to add a lot of then to get any effect.

and don't forget it's all about the gameplay guys.

that is gonna be a crappy map then, if you focus on Gameplay for 100% and for Graphics 0%. C'mon make some trees, so I can sit there with my BW sniper rifle or a tank...

anywayz, the hills are good to hide behind.
and there are only choppers and planes, so there are no tanks. and why use a sniper rifle, if you can use the missiles from the chopper.

so, bulska, play it before saying anything.
and i know you didn't play it at all, why else did you mention the tanks, right?

I have played it, some time ago... and It was more barren than a desert... Make sand texture if you want no trees, makes sense to me... if there are no trees to keep the sand away then whoosh there is ur desert.
I recommend StaticMeshes for cliffs, some Trees, and little depots scattered around with helicopters....
Also those turrets can shoot across half the map.

those turrets don't respawn.
and the bots can't use the choppers and don't know how to shoot with the planes. unfortunately i can't do a single thing about it. so if its about the bot support, bulska, then go crying to monarch.
