"This complex was previously a water purification plant, but after its decomission, it was quickly snatched up and refitted for Tournament use. Nobody is quite sure what the hell Liandri Corp did to this particular room, but once the competitors and cameras go in, they simply cannot get out...

The water seems to behave strangely here, too..."

Just a little 1-on-1 size map I made, with lots of vertical action and a few warpzones used to interesting effect. It's not the most polished thing you'll ever see, but unfortunately the glitches involved in having warpzones means this map will never reach the level of perfection I'd like it to, so I'm probably never going to "finish" it. It contains armor shards, so many thanks to dx-friday for the ArmorShard mutator.

cool map, I'm making a CTF map with warpzones, so you can go all directions but you'll end up at the same place.

It's from Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, level 5 (The Catacombs). It's in a bunch of Rage Wars maps too, but the first pillar of water was in the original game.

And good luck on your CTF map, Bulska. I've considered doing something like that, the kind of level that you just can't draw a map for because of the invisible warps.

well these warps are pretty noticeable. I've made emitters to mark them. And the warpzones are in a sort of portal room.

The only problem with the map, it is HUGE and kills fps. I've done good zoning, but it still lags. I'm gonna check if the thousands emitter particals have anything to do with it...

I purposely left out emitters because I can't zone a level that's basically one giant room. The best I could do would be to make everything into an antiportal, and that would start to bog the game down too.

You can add antiportals inside of the different meshes and bsp.

I feel stupid now, I thought you were talking about my map, Bulska. !grr

Yeah, you're going to need antiportals in the larger meshes and terrain (if you have terrain), and make sure your emitters aren't excessively extravigant. Emitters are the easiest way to accidentally kill framerate, so watch them carefully. Good places for antiportals are in hills, walls, large meshes (the pyramid in Face3 has one, I believe), and the like.
