Well, if you don't know about The Orange Box, then you are sleeping under a rock!

Due date is October 10, but you can pre-order on Steam (for quite a while already now).

I'll pick it up in a few weeks after. Still have to get through a second play of Bioshock, finish World In Conflict and Halo 3.

You get HL2, Ep1, Ep2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 for $50. I'll probably grab it and give my old HL2 and Ep1 copies to my dad.

Same, cept only HL2 and to one of my friends. Cause i only got HL2.

Looked at it. Definately is a great deal if you don't alreadt own anything it includes. If you own HL2, it might be worth $30, maybe $25 if you own ep1. Just another marketing gimmick to sucker people into buying more than they initially wanted to. Reminds me of those relentless bigots who call themselves Radio Shack salespeople, but not so bad. Hmm, did I really say that? Where's that 290? Gorge has a death wish.

As far as I know, Ep2, TF2 and Portal cost $50, HL2 and Ep1 are free additions.

Well, I was including the assumption that package deals cost less than if you were to buy all the contents individually. That's just how marketing works; kinda hard to convince people to buy a package when people could simply buy most of its contents for less money and not buy what they didn't want in the first place. However, don't think I'm saying it's a bad deal if you don't already own anything in the box. BTW, would it be legal to sell your old HL2 game after buying the Orange Box?

It's illegal (well against the Steam EULA) to sell your steam account, but people do it...
I guess if you have the CD/DVD orginals you could sell/trade them, but you would have to check the license carefully.

Basically what they want you to do is give your old HL2 game to someone else. Selling it would be violating the EULA.

Portal is probably one of the most amazing 3 hours of gaming of my entire life.

And there are still bonus puzzles to be done! Hurrah!

Also, the ending theme song is too awesome for words.

If Portal, Team Fortress 2 and Episode 2 together cost more then Orange Box, then I get Orange Box :P

Together they cost more than Orange Box if you buy them all separately. HL2 and Ep1 are free additions in the package so the Orange Box is an even better deal than one already thought.

The total cost of buying everything separately is $129.75.

Just buy the Orange box.

Hell if you pre-ordered it earlier you could have saved $5 and gotten to play TF2 early.
