Yup, I've started mapping for Portal! I love the game, the possibilities are endless and Portal is way too short.
So, I decided to map a few things for Portal, I've been onto a map for a short while, and it is taking nice shape.

My maps are aimed to require thinking onto things before portalling rather then simple solutions, hard to accomplish. I really try to make a not annoying map where you die all the time and have to wait for the stupid thing to load, that is why I'm trying to give a way around when you fail instead of you dying. I hate it if I die, I don't hate it if I fall to a ground and need to climb back up again.

Quick portalling is fun too, so I include that in my map too. I'll try to give the player a choice, to think a little and do it the easy way, or to spot the trick really fast and jump around trying to do something hard. Both probably will result in about the same time token, thinking about it and failing a few times. I probably make one where you got to combine them too. That will probably be a real hard one.

Well, I hope this is going to work out, I'm already posting on www.thinkingwithportals.com to find answers to questions and such, but I surely won't forget about you guys!

Didn't Valve release a SDK recently that allows mapping for Portal?
