I've decided to finally post some of my drawings here, I've been wanting to throw them on some time now but I'm lazy if it comes to this sort of stuff. Anyways, here are my drawings! All are about the science fiction background story (62 pages documentry, history timeline & more) I wrote. The general idea of that story is: In 2680, the Galactic Trade Federation was formed. It started out as a alliance between trade and industrial factions seeking protection against the rapidly increasing number of pirates. The Trade Federation grew in strenght and many pirates fled back to the Border Worlds and Outer Rim. 2820 or something is the date of most drawings represent. Sometimes I could make drawings of the history... cuz I got a whole page of history. From colonizing moon and mars to flying all around the milky way galaxy. If you're interrested about this story, feel free to contact me and I could send up the whole documentry. Easy to navigate trough and find what you want to know. Now enough of that, here's some drawings. Maneanon's SpaceFighter: Flood
Aniper's SpaceFighter: Flame

Here's another one. Some random corvette from the 'colony' provinces (colonies are all provinces of human space, set up by sleeper ships sent away from earth, connected with jumpgates later on.) (Planet Jwila is the first planet colonised in the Jwila colony.) And a city, 2 drawings of that. Some Corvette class spaceship.
The capital city of planet Jwila, from ground level.
The capital city of planet Jwila, from skyline level.

Holy cripes on toast! These are freakin' awsome, Bulska! I wish I didn't have such shaky, unsteady hands. They are so quick and nimble, yet so unsteady that my pensmanship suffers.*Sigh* |

Those are beautiful, I can't ever get my shading soft like that... By the way, you're interested in space travel a lot, huh? I'm guessing from your pictures. |

Yeah most of my drawings are from in space. Thats because the story which they come from is based mainly on space travel and combat. I've always liked space simulations such as Freelancer, X3:reunion and EVE online. HomeWorld 2 is also pretty cool. From this interrest I started drawing a few spacefighters of my own. That later expanded to all this and a 60+ pages long documentry about the Universe itself. To get a soft shadowing, I rub my fingers over the paper where I filled the shadow part in a bit. This makes it very soft looking. You can also use a piece of toilet paper which actually works better, although I never use it. The top drawing's shadows, Spacefighter Flame, haven't been smoothed out. But its an older drawing. Xavious, I have one big pile of drawings, but recently I picked out the better ones and placed them here. My hand-writing really looks like crap most of the times. What does verily mean?

I'm 16 years old now, and started using pencils on paper very young. Mostly drawing in the side of my schoolbooks and such, no real drawing except for a few fantasy drawings inspired by games (greatly by Morrowind). Only a few years ago (3 to 4) I really started drawing on sheets which were meant for drawing. I've worked out my own Science Fiction story, very big now, 60+ pages of info. And all my science fiction drawings are within that universe. I'm drawing pretty much, alot at school in stupid hours where you are expected to sit somewhere quietly making homework. Now I've got loads of drawings and still counting. I'm working on my photoshop skills and really got to try modelling someday too. I'm already greatly in mapping for UT2k4 and mapping for other games is going quite good too. I do small scripting for weaponry, pickups and other basic things, UT2k4 only. And I make simple games with Game Maker 6.2. I also make music with Techno Ejay2. So yeah, I've actually been busy being creative in my life

I get inspiration from computer games, movies and loads of other things. A great source of inspiration was for me the game Freelancer. A Space Simulation game which I've been playing for years over multiplayer. But I never learned how to draw from others. That is something I did figure out on myself. Well, my parents learnt me the basics but I only got to hear very few tricks, tactics or any other stuff from people. Except from my brother, he teached me to fade out the shadows by using a piece of toilet paper or just my finger tips to rub it out. Creates very nice fady shadow effects. And I did follow 1 year art class at school, but that didnt teach me much at all. It was stuff I already knew. The only thing I can remember being usefull was the simple explaination of how to bring depth in your works. I get most inspiration from games, I got some tricks and tactics for drawing but I figured out alot myself too. Lately I get my inspiration from my science fiction story. Always something to draw from there.
