i'm almost finished with my map and i would like you to tell me what is good and bad, and what needs to be changed.

Effects are nice, but the lighting and detail could use an improvement.

The rooms are a tad bit too boxy right now; more architecture would be nice.

Static meshes could be used to a nice effect as well. I'd say add intractable things, like barrels, and wall decorations, like computers. You have a lot in that one cargo room, you should add them to the other ones as well.

It looks like a fun map though, it just needs some more flair. :)

Yeah, too boxy, Try just adding BSP siding or just random BSP on the walls.

The lighting needs work, and for the love of god do not follow UP's advice of adding "random detail". When adding detail to a map you want it to fit the theme and architecture.

And too much detail kills gameplay value, look at most of the official maps for example.

yeah.. indeed too boxy.
i'm gonna add some more static meshes to the map to give it a bit more flair.
and could you tell me specifically what is wrong about the lighting?

I think the map will be very fun to play in, according to these screenshots, it does indeed need a bit more eye candy though.

The lighting, you can decrease the radius for each invidual light source, that works for me most times. If it looks ugly when you do so, you can change the brightness or add a softer bigger radius light in the middle of the room.

Have you added in sound effects? :D They can add a real nice feel to the map.
