Finally got myself a lee enfield no1 mk3*. Made in 1918 it was used (by the look of it) in the last year of ww1 and probably saw some action during ww2. I traded one of my other rifles for it and im very pleased that i did. It took about 4 or so hours to get it cleaned up but it was worth it because now ive got quite the looker all the serial numbers match and the metal is in good shape for being 91 years old.

Congratulations with your rifle, I really like it. I don't know that much about weaponry but I do think it's very interesting. Anyways great rifle, props. |

I would totally collect WW1 & WW2 guns... but i think its illegal to own guns in Canada.. plus probably expensive. |

Certainly looks like a gun from one of the wars... Don't go shooting anyone, unless they ask for it, and i mean really ask for it..

Thanks guys. Its legal to own guns in Canada, you just need the licenses. Also guns (besides the M1 garand) need too be pinned so they can only hold 5 rounds. 5 round mag cap in canada, sucks for goin to the range, but its all you need for hunting. Odds are this gun saw very very little of WW1 but saw all of ww2. The stock disk just says PW on it. I dont know exactly what it means but ive been talkin to people and it sounds like it could be Prince of wales. |

Initials maybe? Hell, if they are you might be able to track down the guy's family. That'd be pretty neat. |

Yeah, I've done some more lookin into it, and I still cant find any info on the PW. I was told by the previous owner that it meant police weapon but i doubt that, it doesnt have any other markings denoting police service. No inventory numbers or anything so i kinda doubt the police thing. Id like to grab a bayonet for it, but at 70 dollars for an original i cant afford one right now. Eventually though I'll nab one. |

I really enjoyed the pics you postued of the Yugo and German Mausers.... I bought a Model 44 in excellent condition with a bayonet. Which of the two were considered the best of the two that you posted? |
