Actually, I was more asking if that's what inspired these... I thought the idea of ripper-style grenade would be cool.

Yeah, I must have them somewhere. I'll get them up soon. By the way, awesome disk grenade! Looks like you could throw them at stuff and they'd stick with that sharp looking edge. Would make for a really cool weapon in BW!

Because its a grenade type weapon is there anything specific to do?

I think you may look at the Xav tuto, it seems that each animations should be named with a proper name, also I don't know if there is specific names for the grenades or if they share the same name as the guns.

Hmm... I'm not too sure offhand. Best bet is to look in UEd and take a look at the BW grenade anims.

I'll see if I can write up some more info later tonight to help you.

From what little I know of blender, I think it would kind of ez to make, it mostly all texturing, thats where I get lost.
