Good day everyone! :D

A recent project of mine that I've finished the model as well as the textures and animations for. Added it as a "static" to UDK to see how the engine will react with this kind of model.

I call it, the "RM-A1 Battle Armor". I don't have the faintest idea on how to make functional vehicles, characters and so on in UDK, so it'll most likely stay as a static mesh. Hope you guys like the concept.

This model was made in blender 3d 2.49b and texture were done in CS3.

The Battle Armor Comes with, 2 Gatling guns, mortars (beside the face plate) and 2 sets of rocket launchers.

Haha, cool! Looks like it would fit right in the UT universe :)

Very Nice, Will it be animated?

I think that many people retained the coolness of RF II mecha which was really cool

Quite right, the model took me about a week and a half to re-build and re-texture from scratch, whilst I was using the original RF2 mech as reference for this one. Actually aimed at not really changing to many things, but giving the old armor a new face.

The armor's textures took me about 4 days to finish.

I have made loads of animations, jump, shutdown, powerup, fire, walk. But as of the moment it is stil static in UDK, I've used bones in blender to get the static object to pose the way it is in the screenshots.

I've always been fond of the Battle armor from RF2, and well, I thought it would be nice to see him in a brand spanking new look, but not loosing too much of the old "mean" look it had.

If I had any idea of how vehicles worked in the UDK, I would've posted a few in action images of it. :P haha

Strangely enough, for some reason the Battle Armor does fit in with the Unreal Universe quite well, guess that just happened by accident. XD
