During my internship at the small game design company BlewScreen, I worked for many hours on the game Synergy. I worked a lot on the code of the game and the level design. The third and final level, the one with the floating rocks, has been created by me using pre-made 3models and textures.
The game is made using Unity3D.
It's only playable when the game is hired for a festival or event, most likely only in the Netherlands.
Synergy is a cooperative game where 3 to 7 players stand on platforms and shift their weight. By shifting to the left, right, forward or backwards, they control a single entity in the game itself.
Together, the players must make their way through an alien world and have to work together to avoid hitting any obstacles. The group of player-entities won't move to the left or right until the majority of the players choose to do so.
Occasionally, the players encounter a large obstacle which blocks the way. There are three formations the players can make to go past each, although for some only two formations are possible. The players must together decide which formation to use, and their choices are to evade the obstacle, to intimidate / shockwave it, or to smash right through.
Their choices through the three levels will eventually result in the ending which can be peaceful, aggressive, or defeat (bumping too many obstacles).
