So where I been for the past weekend was checking out the Richmond Summer Night Market again.
For a bit of background this night market for those who don't know about it. It goes every weekend for about half the year starting around mid Spring on Richmond Island and it sells just about anything you can think of including stuff that is questionable by a legal stance and also by a copyright stance as well (good example last year was wall to wall Angry Birds wares) and the interesting part is the Government here does not give a care what gets sold for the most part aside from the sign they are obliged to put up at these markets that are for this one in the bathrooms trying to gilt people to not buy counterfeit.
Mostly I just go to the market to get these...
A large amount of these are from the sword/knife shop there and they are quite well built and sharp and they just look cool and they are quite cheaper for the price compared to how they sell online for and the wait to get them plus clearing customs before hand. I'm seeing myself making a few more trips out there along just go get some of the other ones that are up for sale.
But hey if pointy metal sticks of death are not your bag they also sell in quite a few of stalls knockoff designer sunglasses that look like the real thing...
And I managed to fool a few of my friends with the pair on the far right that they though were real Ray-Ban's and I also got my sister asking me to take her down to the market next time to get a few pairs of sunglasses before she ships out to the military base for the summer.
And lastly I managed to get my hands on this weekend did not come from the Night Market but a store that sells stuff made for people who are traveling overseas in my case came from overseas. I bought myself a Pioneer DV-430V DVD Player that has no region coding on the player that I can play any DVD from around the Earth pretty much and I learned that DVD players region coding are programed in to the player same goes for TV when it comes to the PAL & NTSC signals.
I bought it because one of my friends gave me a few of his British DVD's for me to keep for myself also a few days ago when I was cleaning out my storage I found my DVD's I bought when I was living back in Africa and I was tired of watching my DVD's in general at my computer sitting on a hella unfriendly office chair instead of sitting on a couch watching long movies.
Anyways this DVD player is quite awesome it has HDMI output, all the controls are on the face of the unit that is good in case I misplace the remote somewhere, it also can play Divx/Xvid files from a memory stick that I tested using a Louis Theroux documentary I had on my computer and an old AVI file of UT2004 gameplay footage I made a few months ago and the player handles it like a champ. Best thing is this player can up convert DVD's to 720p up to 1080p. Now I can buy DVD's from more then just US vendors hooray!
I thought the one the shop was selling the proper one then I looked online and I found there is a 
Someone asked me to draw a weapon that have this kind of functions and I would like to create something based on this concept and try a technological approach in the design.
