As a school assignment, I was supposed to make an incredibly simple flash game. But working with flash proved to be quite fun and I soon started working on much more challenging parts for the game, expanding it to something much greater than the school assignment was ever meant for.

After the school assignment was over, I started recreating the entire game of the school assignment with Flixel. Sadly, after working a long time on it, the compiler broke down for a long time and my internship began, which caused the project to stop. I have no intention on working on expanding the original files of this project, but the sprites and the general idea behind the game are something I'm considering using again.

However, I made it far enough to create a playthrough video of the game (tutorial level and first level).

Enjoy ^_^

Heh heh, well I recognize the name 'Haste' from the BW Story. I believe that's what you called your ship in there too.

Looks pretty neat though. Looks like you were having a blast picking up all those UT shield packs. :)

The powerup sound you hear throughout the video is when the player destroys an entire wave without letting any enemy escape, doing that gives the player a bonus in shield, firepower, phase-power and credits.

And lol, you remember the BW story? xD
"Haste" is a name I use often for space ships that are based on speed. The first time I used it was because of the Quake 3 Arena power-up.
