Then what is it? A ketchup splatter?
You might want to choose a better word to describe the type of effects you are talking about. Are you talking about tiny blood decals on walls when hit with a bullet weapons?

Okay now thats a blood splatter on the wall. But i've barely noticed them or not at all. For one they are pretty light, i hope in 2.0 they are much much darker, same withe th blood trails etc.

I agree, blood is a lot more dense in reality. So it should be more red and less transparent. At least the human blood.

Oh and for the TC (and/or maybe BW 2K7) you absolutely got to have a feature that allows you to shoot off people's limbs without killing them. So if you blast off someone's leg(s), he can only crawl around (but still shoot his gun and stuff). If you shoot off his gun arm, he loses the weapon he's wielding, though he can still pick it up with his other hand. If he loses both arms, he's literally disarmed and can only run around looking for health pickups.

Of course this would work best with a customized form of BloodLoss, so that unless you heal yourself you'll bleed to death fairly quickly from these kinds of wounds. Something like BloodLoss should be integrated into BW anyway, certainly the 2K7 version.

And, on a related note portable med kits/guns and custom voice packs that include a lot of wounded screaming and swearing would also be nice.

TC stands for Total Conversion. Basicly a free, stand-alone game that is trapped in a commercial game. Red Orchestra trapped in UT2004 is a good example.

That's the only thing you can actually do in UT2004.

But I agree that the AI needs some work, Epic made it too predictable and didn't give it any strategical thinking. It's only goal is to run towards you like a kamikaze and hope it'll kill you before you kill it, no planning of how of to approach you depending on your stats or location, or what weapon you are carrying for that matter.

yeah, but i think EPIC has all around improved the AI in UT2k7 by leaps and bounds, i just hope the path-finding in 2k7 is really good, and that the AI as you said should have strategic thinking.

I say just ditch the path-system altogether. That creates great predictability. If the AI would learn the map as it runs through the corridors, it would make more random path so you can't possibly know where it is.

An experienced programmer will have no problems, it would take many lines of code, no doubt about that. But succeeding with that would save Instant Action from extinction(sp?).

Alright, I've let you guys (myself included) go OT long enough. Lets keep with the thread name for God's sake.

I still think having blood shoot out from the front and more from the back when hit would be awesome for BW, maybe next release. Also having said blood go on any close by texture would also be very welcomed.

It is actually me who allowed it.

Seeing very thin, barely visible blood particles fly from the victim and splash on the wall behind him/her/it would be pretty cool. Make the blood color wine-red and make it reflect light like it's supposed to would be neat. I'm not sure if UE2 supports that though.

I doubt my compy would let me do that, since I turn on non-disappearing blood. Is there a freakin' way to make bullet casings actually stay? For some reason, when I set it to 0, it doesn't have casings stay forever like it said it would in the description...

If you have anything more powerful than a 2 Ghz P4 and 1+ GB of memory, full world detail shouldn't cause lag.

more visible would be better.

Well, it may or may not be the world detail, but something is definitely killing FPS even with a 2.8 Ghz P4 and 1.5 GB RAM... !mistrust

I played the game on average 50 - 60 FPS at max settings with less memory; 2.8 Ghz P4 with only 1 GB of memory and a FX 5700 LE.

ReInstalling the game or even reformatting the hard drive would both be possible solutions.

I'm just gonna try working on it some more. I do hit Done/Ok or whihcever that menu uses everytime. I'll see if it'll work, but after I watch my bro play a little bit of Red Steel, one of his games he just got for Christmas.

Edit: Nope, putting it to 0 doesn't make the shell casings stay forever. Maybe if I turn off infinite projectors of blood then it'll work...

Meh...thing I'd like to see is liquid blood. As in, you shootsomeone, and the blood on the wall is like a puddle and slowly drips in random paths down the wall and maybe pools up a tad on the floor.
