Well, think about it this way... the economy is on the decline due to lack of jobs from overpopulation and technology replacing need for many people, and there just isn't much room for more people.

There certainly would be some incentives to be the first to live on a new colony; jobs, freedom, a place to live, adventure, etc.

Sort of like when people rushed over to the U.S. when it was just starting.

I imagine there must have been some way of getting the people moved out with them not having to pay much, but in the end it'd probably be hard to afford to even live on grand ol' Mother Terra.

Eventually things would stabilize, with there being less people around, more jobs available. At that point, I'm thinking the wealthy politicians would be able to find a way to get the rest out, and save whats left of Earth's environment, putting great amounts of money to make earth look like a pristine, perfect planet. Then of course they keep it all to themselves and fear that others would ruin it. So they put up really tough regulations to let people into Earth.

Your idea gives me an interesting way of how the story could continue. The inferiors have access to massive firepower and fast starships and all sorts of technology, how about they want revenge and the planet back one day?

Maybe, but I don't think they'd be the ones who'd have the access to the superior technology. They still are the poor people, remember?

I imagine the UTC soldiers would be recruited from many of the well off planets, those that can afford the high training and equipment required for the UTC.

But what you say is not really all that far off. The Hand highly oppose UTC, and that's what's giving me the ideas of how the UTC really is. The Hand, of course, pose little threat to the UTC, but they can do enough at times to compromise a mission.

No, they are the lowly, underpaid workers in the Outworld.

Or members of the Curse and/or the Hand.

Although who you call the inferiors wouldn't really be just lowlife scum and all that, more like just the working class and under, those the pompous politicians and other wealthy folk look down upon.

I'd like to state again anything I say is merely my interpretation of the Archon Universe, based on some of the facts, but played upon creatively.

Earth, the UTC core planet, is cleaner, and contains far less, crime, industrial waste, etc.. it like the perfect futuristic human place, blah blah

the OutWorld, is opposite.. wasted, industrialised, crime, war, etc.. messy.. poor civilians, etc.. The OutWorld is a hell-hole

Various groups, and such on the Outworld also make things unpleasant, like The Hand, Curse, and of course gangs and Pirates.. UTC really doesnt have as much presence in the OutWorld than corporations and rich business interests.. UTC just patrols around, and has some installations

if you want to get away with stuff, the OutWorld is where you want to be..

i'm gonna be playing some more DS2, then i should be writing more stuff for PA..

SB, you need to start collecting all the bits and put them into one place, because a story of this size is impossible to understand without context.

I think anew forum would be in order, purely for the discussion and archiving of the BW storyline and descriptions of various elements, the latter which could be locked and only mods could access, or rather just SB as he would need to add and refine new stuff.

Also while I'm at it, a forum for player skins and models.

Also, it is pretty much done, need to add the Archon related info from the manual yet, then I need to organize it better, and soon I'll do something with it. Like put it in a sticky thread or something.

Also, all this great stuff fills my head with stories of unsung heroes, saving unknown colonies.

Either way, the archive is pretty large so far for PA. Imagine the mod's manual for just the storyline alone... god.... longer than a Tom Clancy book...

Ok, I got all the info put together, squeezing every last drop of info I could find from RS and the manual, although I bet there's some more out there.

I think its pretty much ready, just waiting for SB to see it.

question, is the UTC made up completely of humans, or have humans peacefully welcomed a few alien races in with them?

As far as I can tell the UTC itself is just Terrans, but the Outworld colonies have accepted some of the other races.
