have any of the weapon status's changed...? like the Desert Eagle and J5 shard cannon or what ever? will they ever make it to a release or be canceled?

Not sure if we will get around to it well at least not now.. we will still be doing new weapons, but i don't think they will be in the Simple Weapon pack.. they may still appear in other releases and of course sponsored packs

The desert eagle would just be yet another pistol to me, but the J55, that is something I really want.

Simple, conventional handguns are fine, but I dunno, they seem rather generic compared to the other guns. Plus we already got something much cooler than a Desert Eagle with similar function, the AM67.

Well if you make it so the DE spins vertical when you take it out, then that would make it awesome. I still think a DE or J55 or anything would be cool to see.

I think they need to add a silencer to a black pistol soon.... maybe that DE could be like a futuristic one that can use a silencer or soemthing.... hmm.... topic time! That silver isn't good for stealth ya know!

Neither is UT2004.

Or you could just have a black or gunmetal RS8 texture and allow the player to choose between colors under the Weapons tab in the Settings menu. Kinda like how you can choose between the new UT2004 models or the old UT2003 ones for some of the guns.

But then online when you play, the other person would see it as silver still if they didn't have it changed over. I do play using stealth when I play online, and what could be more badass than a silenced Desert Eagle?

I do prefer that UT2003 Link Gun model though... and the 2k3 Shock Rifle is... shockingly cool. But the bots who I play against will only use the 2k4 ones and I use it too apparently when I'm in 3rd person.

the DE wouldn't be to hard to get in i suppose, most of the code would be the same a the D4 revolver. but then again i dont know jack about code or how easy it is to say how much time it would take to get it in.

Well, with the way I'd love to have the DEagle.... just read my K72 topic in the weapons section. Multi-variant guns FTW!

The code for a DE wouldn't use the Revolver. The revolver has some lines of code that check if there is a bullet available in each barrel, so that it can skips shots if it is supposed to, as well as other things to make it behave like a revolver.

The 10 mm, the original handgun, and the AM67 all would have code that would be pretty much the same as a DE's code.

Remember, its not the damage you're looking for, but basically the type of gun and the features it has. Like the DE, its a typical, clip fed semi-auto, while the D49 is a revolver. They are two very different types of guns.

SW has a high chance, that it will not be made.. we may make some weapons and we may not.. it's time for us to seriously prioritise our work.. we need to escape from the constraining bonds of UT2k4 mutator limitations
