I'm kinda clueless about how to properly use the mortar thing and staves.

The Mortar Is tricky, I shoot it when undeployed, although, why does it hurt when you shoot it standing up?

Anyways, deploy it and use the special to judge distance and see ahead.

Something I read that was in the help folder said something about it hurting you when undeployed to make it fairer so you wil deploy it.

Not that that matters to me - I can't deploy it because when I reload it deployed, it overloads my memory, crashes, and I have to restart the computer.

Well, the Mortar is as hard to use as the new tank ! But both are deadly weapons !!!!

At least, a good vehicle to replace the hellbender wich was the only vehicle I hate !

The HAMR has a lot of recoil and chaos when undeployed and also hurts you when firing it to encourage you to deploy it. When deployed it's very good, so deploy it!

When in scope mode you can press weapon special to fire a "tracer" round to see where your shots will land. This can help you hit targets at longer ranges.

I agree that the arc on the shells is too strong though

The Hamr has brought back into the game counter battery and forward obsevers. Woot!!!

Kaboodles suggested in one of the topics that the scope should relay not to where you are pointing, but where it will land. Perhaps there could be a display on the screen while zoomed if out of range?

i got one question that i havent found an exact answer for yet:

you know those ghosts that rise when u use the staves? what can i do with them?

Run into them to collect them, then when you fully charge your staff you can use the Special Function button. What each staff does is listed near the bottom of page 6.

Nothing happens when using the special on the "hammer".

Ooh, yes, that would be great, a bit like the SPMA second firing ? It would be fun to have a mini-SPMA on foot !

Those weapons are just fatastic! However Ive got a small problem concerning the loadout. Those weapons were not in the loadout at first so I added them and it worked. But when I played that mod via LAN the client wont have any of the booster back weapons. So only the server gets them here. The weapons are also installed on the other PCs and work but only for the hosts side. And I fear that Im the only one who has that problem. Apart from that I really enjoy those high quality weapons!! Thanks Runestorm Team, and go on like that!!!!!

And what purpose would shot slugs have? it would turn the shottie into yet another high powered manual action rifle (very much like the RW 6000), would it not?

Slugs would be fun, and i'd like them, but lets not kid ourselves here, they dont have a "purpose" that the rifles are not allready good at, they would just be fun to have and nothing more.


If anything should be added, that actually would be different, it is an "Elephant gun", that would be something else

Yeah thats the general idea, but more like the classic Elephant guns.

Basically, they took a large Double barreled shotgun, 8 or even 4 guage caliber, and fitted a necked-down rifled barrel, so you can imagine all the gunpowder than can fit inside a 4ga shell, and have that fire a normal rifle projectile..

Thease guns where usually sawn-off's too, or rather, the special barrels would be no longer than what you see on sawnoff's, since the projectile traveled so fast, having a long barrel was just not nessesary.


Ofcourse, swapping barrels on a Double barrel is quite easy aswell, so that could be its special feature, and then it could also fire normal 4ga shells.

That's what I don't like about the Thor, although it's more realistic than the shell going straight forever like other tanks I've seen. Besides that, the Thor rocks. As do the rest of the weapons.

HA! That's pretty hilarious. Now, I don't know much about cartrige size. MM, inches, Caliber.... Too many different names for the size! However, I assume .577 is basically 57.7 caliber, yes? If not, then i'm an idiot. If I'm right, then firing my sixty-calbier Giant Pepperbox (The Hydra, rifle-sized, but, being a pepperbox, is somewhat heavy) Would freaking hard, even for a trained soldier! I'm pretty sure I AM wrong, though, so it may or may not be. By the way, what is the name of that piece in the video? I've heard it so many times, and utterly love it, but cannot find it!

Awww, it hurts ! When you watch the video, try to imagine the violent pain they suddenly get to their shoulders ! (the guy who is ejected against the window is not lauching !)

I guess soldiers have a special training for firing with those guns and in the end, they don't feel the recoil as strong as in the video. In the video, all these guys have never tried to hold a gun before, right ?

Well, soldiers wouldn't use this gun. They would use a .50BMG rifle. Its only meant for shooting things like rhinos and lions - things you want a big gun to kill but where you don't want to have to lug something massivly heavy around.

Still, I think that none of the people in the video will have fired something like this before.
