I pull the skrith's blade out of my arm. It hurts like hell, but I'm almost there. I can't let it stop me.

I turn to the right and take the short hallway down to find a room full of skrith. They look like they're getting ready for combat and they already saw me.

I bring my shotgun at about neck level and aim it towards the two nearest me. I pull the trigger and their blood covers my face. I let my shotgun hang and draw my hand gun again.

I blind one to my right and blast a new hole in another one's face.

I grab the blinded one and hold him against me as I hear the discharge of several A73s. I feel the heat of the blasts as my meat shield takes the shots.

The skrith quickly give up firing at me and charge with their bayonets. I fire a shot of at one and drop him.

I throw the body at the last skrith. It was impaled upon the bayonet, the weight of the body forcing the skrith to drop his weapon. He pulls out his skrith blades and laughs.

I holster my side arm and pull out my chainsaw, pulling the cord and letting it roar to life. I laugh.

The startled skrith jumps a bit.

He comes at me with both blades, but I rev up my chainsaw, scaring the skrith a bit, causing him to hesitate a moment. I take that moment to bury my blade deep into his chest. He desperately tried to get at me with his blades, but only manages to cut my arm.

I laugh again as the skrith is howling in pain. Finally I decide to end it by revving and pulling up on the blade, bringing it out through his shoulder.

Between the large amounts of blood loss and the blood in my eyes, my vision is blurred quite heavily. I run through the room and hear more skrith coming. I see a flash and my chest is burning. I must have been hit by some plasma, but the pain didn't slow me down. Instead it drove me further.

I tore through the ranks of skrith, leaving nothing alive.

Eventually I found what looked like the prison cells. I heard a cry for help and found the Prime Minister locked in a cell. I seen a control panel next to his cell. I looked at it and noticed what seemed to be a retina scanner.

I quickly looked through the corpses in this section and found what looked like a higher ranking skrith, somehow still breathing. I grabbed him by his arm and pulled him to the scanner. I think the skrith might have whimpered a bit.

I held the skrith's face against the scanner. It beeped something and the doors opened. The skrith laughed as I retrieved the PM. I picked him up by the "hair" and nearly twisted his head off. He stopped laughing.

"Stay close behind me, sir." He sheepishly nodded his head and followed my directions. I took the route I came from, encountering little resistance. When I made it back to the armoury there was a particularly ugly skrith with half a load of buckshot in his face. Looks like I should have confirmed my kills a bit better.

"Stay back, sir. I don't want you to get hurt." The skrith came at me with his claws. He stabbed me in the ribs but the claw only bounced off my armour. I grabbed his other arm and twisted it until I could feel a pop. The skrith fell to his knees in pain and I took that moment to slam his head into my knee.

He fell down and I slammed my boot into his skull. The skull gave way and left quite a mess. I'd hate to be the janitor.

I got the PM to follow me up to the door way. I threw a corpse out of the entrance and saw an energy burst hit it. So it looks like the sniper is still sharp. I grabbed an A73 leaning against the wall and lined up the sights. I've had good experience with these before but its no human weapon. I took a deep breath and aimed the rifle up in the general direction of the sniper. I took a step outwards and fired a quick burst. I saw the sniper reel in pain and finally drop. I tossed the gun aside.

"I think its safe, you can follow me again, sir."

We hustled towards the landing zone and made it into the drop ship.

"Herr, you know what to do."

But now it's time for chapter 3.

Chapter 3- The Krao Identity.

After Captain Xavious saved the PM, He got the Medal of honor for Taking pain, and trudging on, However, Storm X had died, and he was rewarded the purple heart, he helped clear a path, he died honorably, he's now buried on The barren wasteland of the Ravine, (creds to BE). but mourning had to wait, a new intel research that krao are heading our way, the zone, A desert planet named Luxor IV...

Time to go Captain Xavious!!!

To commanding officer:

"What the hell were you thinking, putting a fresh recruit in a mission like that by himself?!

Look what your actions brought. We have a dead soldier.

Lets just hope you don't pull something like this again."

"Listen soldier, I'm your commanding officer and-"

"I have a mission to do."

Xavious walks off and preps for his next mission.

I'm not gonna have to face this myself am I?

My char would be a dual fifty-9 hacker.
Can dual fifty 9 count for 1 weapon of the 3? together they are just as small as a battlerifle...

so... whats the mission?

So far all we know is that its a Krao battle.

I might consider being a support trooper (one of the two MGs, the silver pistol, what was that called?, and a knife for close combat.)

If I do join as a support trooper, can I have some ammo packs that I can pass around in case someone runs out or something?

Bulska, dual weapons count as 2 weapons, so you need to pick one more weapon.

Kylinrage, Yes you can toss ammo packs if the other characters need it. and the silver pistol is called The RS10.

The mission- We have to stop the krao from coming on to our planet, and eat innocent civilians, right now they're recharging on Luxor IV. so Get there And wipe these bugs off the planet!

How are they going to our planet?

They don't have their own ships do they?

Also, KylinRage, I'd go with the M353 MG. It has a bigger clip and faster rate of fire, ideal for Krao.

Bulska, your Sentry turret, is in the Weapon idea registry, so you can use it.

Krao are bugs, so they fly there with they're wings, so they wear a breather so they can breathe in space.

As the men geared up, Captain Xavious saw storm X's Katana, he asked his CO if he can do something really quick, he allowed it, Captain Xavious went to Storm X's Grave, he lied the katana on the dirt gently. "I'm sorry that this happened to you Storm" Xavious said, "But Don't worry, i'll get your revenge for you."

He went back to the base, geared up, and headed for the raptor...

hehe bug... ok Xavious you were first so you start off ^^ xD

I'm gonna swap out my AM67 for some pineapple grenades.

Alright, here we go.

"We need to set up defensive positions everyone. Let's start by getting some sandbags and whatever else you can find built up to slow these bastards down.

Bulska, I want you to set up your turrets to protect our flanks, but hold a few back.

KylinRage, pile up some sand bags and make a stable stand. I want you to set up your machine gun in a place where you can safely fire over our heads. Set those ammo packs where we can get to them.

Bulska, maintain the turrets. If the Kroa get too close you need to hold position near the front with your Fifty-9s ready.

Xavious to Herr. I need you ready when the Krao get thick. Just drop a few bombs whenever they build up heavily. Out.

Lets dig some trenches to slow them down. The moment they hit ground we're gonna need to get to positions, but until then lets do what we can.

If the Krao do break the front wall, do NOT engage in melee. Retreat back to our secondary positions."

I looked to the skies. The dark cloud in the horizon was moving our way fast.

'Roger that Xavious, I'm going to place some rows of them on the sandbags. Where are we anyway? I fell asleep a little when they told the mission location...'

After Bulska got the response to his question, he went off to place some Sentries all over the place, sometimes asking for new ones when he ran out of turrets.

'How are we three marines going to win from that army of Krao heading our ways? We better place some landmines if anyone has some! Kylin, you got any in those ammo packs of yours?'

I only got 5 packs with me, so don't waste it, Bulska.

Kylin tossed an ammo bag at Bulska and began piling up the sandbags.

Looks like I have to hurry. Those Krao are gonna close in on us real soon...

Mind if I join in?

I'll be Sergeant Kelly, called in on behalf of the UAC to aid in the defense of Luxor IV.

The UAC had quite some interest in the planet, and being a multi-trillion dollar company, decided to deploy their own troops to gain a foothold.

- 3 Weeks Before Present -

The CO of a company of eighteen, Sergeant Kelly ordered his troops to land deep in the dunes of Luxor. His men were trained veterans, all hand picked for the job. They were ready to cut through the Krao like hot knifes through butter. Armed with the latest and greatest technology had to offer, the troops set up a large base. The site was just north of a designated Runestorm outpost, set for construction in 3 weeks.

Things were quiet for a while. Recons were returning with blank reports, radar scans were turning up empty and even satellite sweeps were showing no signs of life. The troops relaxed after a week or two. There was nothing here... just sand and storms...

Boy were they wrong.

On the 20th day of camp, at about 4:32 AM, the perimeter radar went off. Beeping like crazy, it showed a force 2,000 strong marching towards its position. Believing it to be a technical malfunction, the on-point technician kicked it and walked away.

Two minutes later, the power went out.

Twelve minutes later, 17 men were dead.

Being one of the first to see the unstoppable force of Krao, Sergeant Kelly had grabbed the leading technician and ran for the command bunker. A hasty -SOS- was tapped into a battery powered console and a Self Destruct switch was activated. A full retreat was ordered.

4 troopers, the technician and Sarge ran for the southern exit. The self destruct consisted of 20 NEXUS Heavy Assault Missiles, hopefully that would give them a chance.

Dodging in and out of A73 fire, only the Sarge and one of the troopers had made it to the exit. "Jesus, 17 good men... all dead....", the trooper muttered. "It'll be 19 if we don't hurry the hell outta here!" Sarge responded.

The explosion was deafening. The horizon lit up like a thousand nukes. The Sarge and the trooper walked gloomily on to Runestorm's outpost, where a man was setting up Sentry Turrets.

'Hey guys, there's two people walking this way!'
Bulska jumped off a rock he wanted to place a sentry on and walked to the two soldiers heading his way

'Hey dude, who are you and what happened?'
After Sgt Kelly told the story (1 post above) Bulska went setting up some more sentries around the place.

(OOC)OutOfCharacter: Err are we in a sand desert with rocks or without? Or in a forest, or mountains, what sort of terrain are we? ^^ Also... do we have a rock wall at our backs so Krao can't surround us? I would like terrain and enviorment details so I can know if I can climb up somewhere or something. ^^

Aye, me too. We need some info on the terrain.

"Welcome aboard Sarge. It's good to finally meet you, though I just wish it was under better conditions...

It's a good thing you came, we can certainly use the help.

Right now we need more people to help fortify this place, so have your men help set up."

It's basically a Desert fort In the middle of Luxor IV, but has a special oasis for healing wounds but cannot heal the dead, Also on the other side of the planet, it's bitter cold.

"Before we left the base, Johnson here managed to grab one of the heavy security turrets. It should come in handy." Sarge informed the Captain.

"This baby fires heavy 20mm slugs and comes with an advanced turret linkage system. Once it sights an enemy, it will activate all the turrets in the immediate area and open fire. Lemme take a moment to calibrate it." Corporal Johnson added as he placed the turret in the middle of one of the sandbag groupings.

"There's no doubt that the Krao are following us, I say we've got 10 minutes before their scouts arrive. We don't have much, but it should aid you guys." Sarge said as he laid down:

- 1 broken A73 minus blades -
- 1 UAC BFG 9000 -
- 2 Large Medpacks -
- 1 Weapon Upgrade Kit -

"Johnson's also got:"

- 2 D49 Cobras -
- 1 UAC Chaingun -
- 2 Laser Tripmines -

"The upgrade kit we've got won't fit on our weapons, though I'm sure it'll work on one of your M50's." Sarge said as he tinkered with one of the rifles, "There! This one's now got a laser and a military sniper scope along with a nice new 100-round drum mag. Enjoy."

I've got some quite a bit of experience with the Plas Cannon, let me take that."

I pick up the massive gun and hold it over my shoulder, refamiliarizing myself with the weapon system.

"Everyone gear up and take what you can't hold to the second line."

Something tells me we might end up getting stranded, but from the looks of things we're quite well equipped to tough it out.

Chapter 4- The Krao Supremacy


As the time whizzed by, the men heard a strange buzzing noise, But the sarge and the captain heard that noise before, Krao, they were coming in mass forces, time for a fire fight...

Edit- Xavious what you did you replace for the plas cannon?

At the sight of the Krao, KylinRage opened fire. He sprayed bullets into the swarm, knocking down some of them.

We got company, guys!

Kylin tried to take down as many Krao with one clip, hoping we won't be killed while reloading. He controlled the recoil as best as he can, but inevitably some bullets were far from its intended target. He immediatley took cover to reload after using up 100 bullets.

OOC: I'm just spitballin' at it. Is it The Bourne Supremacy?

Bourne Supremacy, anyone?

As soon as the first Krao Recon came into sight at the edge of the horizon, Sergeant Kelly whipped out a small laser designator. He flipped up the translucent top and fingered the large red button.

In the case of an emergency, the UAC had placed several Orbital Thermal Cannons in the upper atmosphere of Luxor IV. When activated, these cannons would send down spires of searing thermal energy strong enough to melt the skin off your bones. The laser designator in Kelly's hand was the trigger for those cannons. With a single motion of his hand, he could wipe out the whole Krao army.

"This is for my men!" The Sarge yelled as he slammed the red button down.


"..."


"Shit." He pressed the button again. Still nothing. "Damn batteries."

He threw the designator down and equipped his plasma rifle. Walking over to the first sandbag barrier, he fired a sizzling charge of blue plasma into the ranks of the Krao. "Johnson, go find the BFG."

OOC: I put my grenades down for the plas cannon.

I fired a shot into the ranks of the skrith, taking a large group out.

I charged up another shot, coming dangerously close to the safety point and fired another burst. The shot traveled through several skrith before finally fizzing out.

I held the trigger in again, but nothing happened. I heard circuitry sizzling. Something must have shorted out. Damn, that was getting fun.

I tossed the gun aside and picked up my grenades, "We got a dead gun!" I yelled after spitting out the pin to a grenade.

I chucked the pineapple into the oncoming horde. I pulled the pin to another grenade and throw another one. The first grenade detonated, taking out four or five targets.

Before the second grenade blew up I pulled out my shotgun and ran past the sand bags. I let loose a couple rounds, but the range was too great, I only managed to get them angry.

I pulled out the grenades again and started throwing some more. I saved one back, and the Krao were now within a decent distance for my scatter gun.

I let loose a storm of steel, the shot tearing through the ranks. I fired off my last round in the shotgun and pulled back to reload.
