You should try online play sometime. It's pretty fun.

Personally, my favorite weapons are the silenced ones. And pretty much all of the bullet-firing semi-automatic pistols. The R78A1 is also very fun to use, and I love sticking my tweaked FP9s on people's backs on our server.

I can vouch for the online play. Even on my 24.6kp connection, its fun- at least, its fun if you don't mind losing!

Anyways, the guns of BW are not just a tool of destruction. They have a lot of character to them, and they aren't going to work for anyone. Oftentimes I pick up a gun and use it simply for its background story, like the R9 or the SAR 12.

I usually don't like picking up a random weapon and just using it. Not only because a general lack of skill in all weapons, but because it just doesn't connect with me as well. 'tis why I prefer loadout to regular DM.

Hmm, I simply choose a weapon because it does the job I intend to do. Although I find myself favouring the more stylised of armaments.

EG: both the M763 shotgun and the tactical shotgun are good for the same purpose but I choose the Tactical shotgun for its shininess, modernisation and of course that tazer. Even though the former does more damage.

Yeah, i prefere Tactical Shootgun more than M763 too, and pretty much the same reasons.

I prefer the tactical for its usage in close range combat. This is a point where I love the background for the M763 much better, but I don't use it because it's usage in my loadout is redundant. I use the M763 for mid range combat, I use the SAR 12 for short to long range combat. MRS138 on the other hand, is perfect for really close range combat.

It's always long range with me, but if pressed i guess i'll have to use the Katana.

If pressed even further, i'll use a shotgun to blow them off the map.

D49 is awesome in almost everyway (except for close range)

Just give me a knife.

As of the latest release, I have gone slightly nuts for the Ranger rifle. There really isn't enough unscoped rifle-based action in UT2004, so it's a nice treat. The SAR is also a good, hefty weapon; powerful, and a good alternative to the M50 (the camera feature puts me off the gun, as it goes lagtastic when I use it).

Oh, and the MRT6. Sprint + Bullet-time mutator + MRT6 + Unwitting bot's face = Splattery entertainment.
