The dual wielding is limited to weapons that can be dual wielded. If you want to dual wield the miniguns, check out porkmanii's DualWield mutator.

Well, it's hard to say if yours is the best one, period. I loved the ones in Serious Sam SE and Wolfeh to death, too.

I loved the serious sam ones, but I'd have to say the BW one is in fact, the best. Period.

It's the best in UT2K4, that's for sure. I thought it would be spammy but it's actually pretty well balanced. And of course it looks amazing, too.

I definetly think that the BW flamer is the best of any FPS I've played. Only thing that could use improvement is the tank explosion. And the other explosion that I don't know if the general public is supposed to know about yet.

Meh. It was still barely more than a melee weapon.

The BW flamer looks amazing, but where it isn't better than the Wolfenstein and Painkiller, is with the flame effects. Those two games are simply unbeatable, how the flames expand once leaving the barrel and how they move around is just mouthwatering.

The backpack explosion needs a lot of improvement actually, a lot. There is no sound, no explosion. I even didn't realise it was a backpack explosion the first time it happened to me, I thought the bot was just firing the weapon in mid-air.

Yeah... I thought it was some kind of jumping trick too when I saw the trailer... like Q3's Rocket-jump.

Notice I said good-looking. As deadly as the TS:FP one was, it still looked like crap. It looked like it had about a 4-foot range when you fired it, but when you see the thing side-on, it's more like 30 feet.

And I (unfortunately) haven't played Painkiller, so I can't argue that one.

My favorite part was when that one guy was standing there, and then the other one guy kind of casually walked up beside him and splattered his upper body against that stone thingy with a shotgun...

Wolfenstein... Uhhh, ok... That was a lousy flamer...

BTW, has anyone seen a RL flamer? They don't have big floaty particles that expand (well the kind we were aimng for didn't). They have long sharp trails and a crap load of range! Even a spray can flamer in RL has more range than most games' flamers...

I agree that the pack could be better, but I would have apreciated an earlier report from a beta tester...

Rant:/all flamers in games i have seen, have less range than kicking! RL flamers have a least some advantage in the fact that they have range on them.. thats how ours works! i'd also wager, that Painkiller and wolfenstein, looks like crud from far away.. like some hot puffy stuff floating out from the front of the player, rather than a torrent of fire /end Rant

but the trailer does look cool i think that sometime, we'll start a section here on the site, where we release the occasional snippet like some cool footage, new developements, etc..

Just thought I might say this, I love the flamer! I've never personally went flying around in a compromised fuel pack, but my bro did once a couple days ago, and it seems like there wasn't enough noise to it when he was flying around...

But other than that I love it. I especially love the range. It's something I never saw in a game before; a flame thrower with a realistic distance!

Most flamers in games are based on Hollywood props as seen in movies, and thouse are just glorified spraycan flamers.

A real one shoots like a fire hose, because it is just that! a big fire hose that pumps out a stream of Napalm at a ghastly amount of PSI and ignites it as it leaves the barrel, a range of 20 meters is not at all uncommon on flamers.

The BW flamer does a good job of it from what i can see, considering the limitations of the Unreal 2.5 engine

Actually. . .I'm pretty sure that a request for improved flamer explosions and explosion sounds WAS made in the beta forum a while ago.

I don't judge weapons solely based on their looks.
