Bad Bot Support?

Friendly fire can make the victory somewhat more difficult if the bots would accidentally kill each other and lose frag points in the process.

Been playing alot of BW - a common fault with the bots I've noticed, particularly when the number of bots is low, is that they get stuck sitting on weapon pickups. Or they find a lift, and get stuck playing with it lol running on, doing a jump just before the peak of the lift, then running back onto it again. They seem to genuinely enjoy it haha.

That's when you use the G5, get a lock, and see if you can time the hit while they are in mid air

Yeah the lift part is really annoying.

Yes, bots are like kids, they pay little attention to the job and play childish games instead.

Hehe I always play with FF too.Mainly on ONS maps, because if Im running for a scorpion and a teamate gets in it first.......its go time"takes out railgun"But,bot support has not realy bothered me ,mainly because Im not the best player,but I train every day one day I shall kill XAN on GODLIKE!

It is very very tough to beat an AI if it has inhuman accuracy and pickups timing.

yeah i haven't even been able to beat the singleplayer mode yet in UT2k4... stupid CTF- Grassknoles ~:(

Yup, UT2004 weapons are so crazy; no reloading, fast fire rate, high damage, etc.
It is like WW3 even if there are only 2 in the battlefield...

Yeah, same here. With BW I can totally dominate godlike bots, but when I tried the EliteMachines_X Weapons Pack (a Zark mod), I got a******d like a n00b!

With 100% accurate, (extremely) powerful weapons the bots are lethal as hell. If you're looking for a real challenge, or just enjoy getting your ass kicked by simplistic programs, try this...

Bjossi its just a bunch of Zark weapons (really fast firing sniper rifle fire with no smoke) and a couple of redemmers. It's mostly code since they use the target painter and other rifles for them... all in all its just Zark gameplay which sucks.

Yeah, as Uglypants said it's basically a bunch of reskinned stock weapons (snipers, mostly) with tweaked effects and extreme rof. There's also a crapload of config options, and some other extras. It ain't bad, but if you expect BW's level of realism and quality you will be disappointed. If, otoh, you're looking for a quick snack, want to hone your skills, or are really into Zark style gameplay, it's definitely worth the (relatively small) download.

I don't like that kind of gameplay, I like slow-medium paced and weapons that don't use the default models...

i hated zark intill i played elite machines, its one of the better zark weapon packs.

I tried it. Didn't really like it at all (the goofy permanent damage amplifier effect on that one gun in particular makes me barf!) but then I'm not really very good with stupidly fast+insane gameplay. I like BW cos it's well paced.

Yeah I overall never keep a weapon mod that uses the exact same model as default UT2K4,But with an exception to packs like these that at least add new"cool looking"skins.I do like the Bio Sludge spewing sniper in this pack though.

Has anyone played with the ripjack? That is an awesome weapon, amybe too overpowered and to easy to get headshots but still its an awesome weapon.
