Added the new mod seems to load fine, I see NO new weapons....Should I have a New Ballistic.ini??? Its not swapping the new weapons in.

Well its the exact same as the beta, NONE of the weapons show in loadout, and the weapons in Ballistic Arena aren't togther with the other BW weapons.

Everything works fine for me. I just went into ballistic and set the swapper on the new weapons. Did you guys install with Umod or zips?

Swap out the weapons with guns other than the assault rifle, I havn't gotten the guns when they've replaced the starting weapons.

I used the Zip, (Running Server) But It Looks like i have to Have a New Ini File In order to tell it what to swap out. So im waiting...... LOL

When you use the Ballistic weapon swapping tool in the mutator menu, don't replace the shield gun or assault rifle with the new guns. You won't start out with them. Though they will replace the pickups on the map.

yeah.. u dont start with them in swapper.. it'll come in next BW release..

u have to use swapper or arena to use them, and even 3rd party mutators.. loadout and swapper support in next BW release..

No, you shouldn't need a Ballistic.ini, its auto generated...
You'll need to add RedGunPack to the ServerPackeges for the ZIP install... Read the txt file that came with it...
Does anyone here know that swapper puts guns on the floor by the assault ammo? The AR replacements...

well the ballistic swapper works fine next to the fact that you won't spawn wit whatever you placed the shield gun or assault rifle with, at least if it the new guns, i just don't understadnd why every goddamn post i read abuot this pack on websites like Beyond unreal and stuff says it doesn't work with ballistic Swapper, when it does, with only a minor bug or two.

Yeah, you just need to configure the swapper so that they appear, that's all.

Ill try it again...But I havent seen anything new in 5 Maps.....And for god sakes I DONT USE the swapper I run a server!!! Not Lame Instant Action!

Anyways, this isn't a new mutator, this pack adds 3 new weapons into the old Ballistic Weapons mutator, you need to set the swapper settings so they'll appear. Just choose what UT weapon you want the new guns to replace, and go on from there.

Ok, On the server I need to edit the Itemizer then...Can one of you gimme a New Ballistic.ini with the RedGuns it??? I don't have that option on the server. Thats what i been trying to say. RedGuns Only works with a Single Player environment. NOT Multi_player. I need an INI file that reflects these New weapons so they spawn Just Like Ballistic Did. Otherwise this Mod will not work on ANY server.

I have a stock unedited Ballistics.ini I just want to replace the Shotgun with the new one, The Pistol with the new one, etc.

I see the classnames in the Redguns.ucl file, But Ballistic Has no idea they are there. ON My Server NOT Instant action, I have to configure EVERYTHING thru INI files since I don't have an INSTANT action type Interface.


Otherwise Ill remove the Mod and you need to edit your post that this Pack does NOT support UT Standalone servers.

Then I guess you and your server's players need to enjoy them through Instant Action until version 2.0 is released.

I took a look around the Ballistic files.
At the very top of the Ballistic.ini, the swapping menu is there. Just change weapon slot 2 - 15 so some of them will guarantee to spawn the new guns. Slots 0 - 1 are SG and AR which for some strange reason are reported to not get replaced with the new gun.

The class names of the 3 new guns are found in RedGunPack.ucl, it should be enough to add those into the swapping lines of Ballistic.ini.

There is probably more stuff you need to do for online play, but those I don't know anything about.

Yeah, that should be the case. Just try this out and see what happens.

Yes, just look at the swap lines at the top of Ballistic.ini, in each slot there are more than one BW weapon classes listed to replace each UT weapon. But remember that you CAN have only one weapon if you want, that way you can guarantee that the new guns replace the UT ones.
