Hi there guys, I just installed version 1.61 of ballistic (not just patch) and I run it on my server. However when I run it I come into a few problems.
1.Lets say I have a shotgun and an rpg...I have the rpg out and when I switch to the shotgun the rpg dissapears. Even if its not out of ammo. I also have a problem with the loadout ballistic when I set 5 weapons to start with I only get one and when I try to switch to another one poof its gone. The only ones left are the helle weapon and the pistol and/or sub machine gun. Is this supposed to be like this? Or am I doing something wrong. Help would be appreciated.
2.Another thing is kind of weird...Why is it when I look through the scope with my rpg and shoot it it suddenly flys forward then boomerangs back at me blowing me to smitherines. I thought it was pretty funny although it got kind of annoying after a while.
3. The crosschairs..The crosschairs seem to get pretty annoying when they start to grow on screen and appear a little ugly to me. I dont mean any offense by that but is there a way to set your crosschairs off and the defaults with ut on. I understand they are showing the decrease in accuracy as you hold down the button but a 1 1/2 inch crosschair across my screen doesnt tell me to stop shooting it tells me....I cant see what I am shooting at anymore.
4.The explosives. When I set my explosive charge and walk away from it...I hit right click...then....suddenly out of no where.....nothing happens. ;)
Over all the main problem is that I cant carry more than 1 non default weapon type. Please help I love the weapons but they are very glitchy. I am surprised you didnt go over these when you tested them if you tested them at all...Thanks :)

Of course we test things, we just don't get these bugs...
Ok, the explosives... You have to aim at the bomb you want to detonate, tehn pres alt fire.. You'll see a red box highlighting your bomb of choice. Use the reload key to detonate all bombs at once.

We're working on the crosshairs. For now, you can change their size with UT's crosshair scale option. You can also change their aplha and you can switch back to teh UT crosshairs with the 'old crosshairs' option in your Mut config or BW Gametype rules.

We've heard about this friggin RPG boomerang bug, but for some reason, we can't get it to happen here! We'll have to keep looking...

When you say switch, do you mean 'press weapon switch key, like number or next weapon' or do you mean 'go to loadout menu and change something'?

We'll check out these issues and see if we can get them fixed in v1.7...

All of the bugs that you cannot duplicate may be "client" oriented. I think we determined that the high shot with the Railgun and Sniper scopes were that kind of problem. Start a dedicated server and then join as a second session on the same machine. That's the only way I get the bugs. The boomerang RPG seems very rare.

I've been mysteriously killed by my own RPGs a couple of times during botmatches, so that boomerang bug isn't just some online thing. It's just a very minor issue though, very rare and hardly a problem.

Well, the RS coders(me) are very paranoid about anything that does not behave exactly as it should(or starts to show free will). So we'd even fix something just for that reason!B)

G5 back in face bug has been fixed for v1.70, so just hang on a little longer;)
