I find the poll on the front page very interesting!
there's no one weapon that stands out from the rest. Fairly close.
Which just goes to show everyone has different styles and skills

That was a tough decision for me. It was either shotguns or traps... I had to choose the traps. I just noticed something, there's no option for skrith weapons available on the poll. |

I love trips and traps, assualt rifle, sniper rifle, railgun, and the submachine gun. And I chose shotguns over those because shotguns are the elite weapon |

How are they boring? You set a few traps up that normally would be easy to avoid, then when it comes to running and chasing after some one, they might forget about the mines and give you a frag or two. If used right they really benefit from the fast paced action. |

There are two things I love most about BW. 1. The scream of the Railgun, and its uncanny ability to blow up tanks in one hit 2. Running after hapless bots with a cooking grenade, yelling "DEATH TO THE OTHER TEAM!" Since 2 is very fun but you die while doing it, I chose 1. |

magnums rock, just like the HL2 magnum. but the BW magnum will be way better than HL2's magnum. (now thats a lot of magnum for one post). |

I voted Assault rifle (M50) @Bjossi, It ain't really Unreal Tornament any more. Its BW. BW has an almighty inmapct on the gameplay and it feels like a different game now... Our magnum is up to the current RS standard (which is better than most v1.7x weapons) and is obviously better than HL2's! The anims are damn impressive... IMO...
I never run around like a maniac when I play. I occasionally use mines and FP9s, but don't move very fast, so I hardly ever trip on enemy ones. The M50s great for sniping off people at range or blasting up that maniac who runs at you with a sword. We usually play 4way MP in BW and everyone has a different style. BE is a true maniac, hes usually in mid air doing a double jump... Everyone else has a different style of hiding... I'm surprzed no one voted grenades...  I guess thats just too bad. If you don't know how to use them, you don't care what you're missing. If you do know, then your enemies are probably near the top of the scoreboard!

it would be cool if we could record a demo of us playing.. unfortunately, our version is very diffirent from the public one.. possibly after 2.0 though..
u could get an i dea of how we play.. maybe people will use the grenades more after 2.0, becoz i reanimated them.. i always find i use a gun more, if it has good anims

Actually, I use the grenades a lot. I'm pretty accurate with them, too, having them explode right as they make contact with the enemies is always fun.

I press the special function with the grenades and wait till there halfway drained then throw them. But over all the traps I would have to choose the explosive with laser activated booms |

What he said! Don't use the other explosives a lot, though; it's just too damn easy against those poor stupid bots. At least with the grenades there's some skill involved, but anyone can spam botpaths with mines... The incendiary grenades are a bit on the easy (spammy) side too, but they're simply too fun not to use.

I love the FP9A5. I put them on the ceilings and detonate them as my friends pass under them. My favorite thing to do is to activate the laser, and as somebody crawls under it, detonate it.

Yeah, the det packs can be fun. My brother began to start jumping over the trip lines instead of going around, but he must 've forgot about the remote detonation (i did at least), becuase I was looking right at him, but suddenly it hit me: Detonate the explosive regardless of whether or not he tripped the lazer. It sure did a great job of keeping him on his toes. 
I don't think I ever used the explosives/mines against bots. Not enough challenge to it. You don't need to even hide them. I love DM-SB-Guardian (awesome maps, ShadowBlade! ). Best place to set traps, in my opinion. Just set a few mines in the grass or where the tiles are missing, and unless you look specifically for them, they're almost invisible. The bridge is a good place to set up det packs, too.
I don't use the incindiary grenades a whole lot, like Redshift said, they do seem a bit spammy, I prefer to use the frags.

i love the grenades, and the FP9.. btw, does everyone know the many secrets of the FP9? like how u can retarget the laser where u want? or activating the laser after planting, etc? |
