Ok, I ask about everything you mentioned above.

I want to know who the Cryons are then.

YAY!! lemme throw some info at 'yah!

Cryons: A Skrith ally, they like robotics, cybernetcis and bio-engineering.. They "grow" their warriors exactly to spec, and combine them with whatever machine parts they need.. EG; a cryon warrior will be desgined, then grown in a lab, to fit into whatever machinery it needs, and fitted with guns and such... basically they use A.I and advanced robotics for lots of things.. A terran RPG, will launch a rocket, which explodes on impact.. a Cryon rocket, involves a grown bio-mechanical being, outfitted exactly for anti-vehicle purposes.. the thing would have a drill like device for drilling into the target, then an explosive device for detonating when in deep enough. essentially, cryons grown thier warriors and weapons to spec, which indeed has many advantages.. such as, they do not need petrol or whatever as fuel, but might need to be fed, etc.. Their vehicles have brains, which control their various weaponry, etc.. Robotic things can be used to easily defeat terran vehicles.. Other Cryon weaponry includes a strange substance known as "Verrido-Carbonate", a peculiar blackish, messy material, used in a way, similar to how a Terran would use bullets..

No one knows what a true Cryon looks like, as they only ever use their grown creations as fighters.. The Cryon are very willing allies of the Skrith.. prepared to do whatever their masters ask of them..

will the TC ever make it to ut2004? you guys have a long way to go, real level maps, real player models, more weps, inventory items, maybe some other cool features. theres a lot of work to be done.........

Now I know why Cryons aren't a part of BW, since they wouldn't be able to use the weapons in the map right?

give us some info on their home planet can normal humans breathe there? do they share their homeworld with other creatures? plantlife, terrain type?

It sounds to me like the Cryons don't need to breath at all...

Yeah, but that's only one of them...there's still the curse and the krao...and I'm guess us mortal humans use the ballistic weapons

Cryons sound very much like the strogg from the Quake series, so I can't give RS all the credit of the idea...

I really don't think they sound much like the strogg at all. They're cybernetic creatures, but thats about it. Its not like they are the only ones who thought of cybernetic creatures, y'know.

From the sounds of it, the Cryon sound more like weapons than all-out warriors (unlike the strogg), which is an incredibly awesome idea, if you ask me.

Will the custom companies and weapons be included in the Archon Universe? For example, the two pistols in my pack are made by 'Principle Tech', a company that builds military computer systems.

I'm thinking they could probably easily be incorperated into the story, I just don't think they'd really be a significant part of it.

Cryon planet.. they have a home planet, and its cold, like their name suggests.. Humans named them Cryon, coz they like colder places, as its better for their machines.. no one knows where their home-planet is, but Cryon do have colonies on various outworld planet, and others further out.. breathing.. u got me!! i think theyd need some sorta thing, but the technicians are good, and probably build stuff onto them

as for being strogg.. not at all.. they dont harvest races, they grow their own warriors.. as in, test tube thing, grown very quickly.. then they have an organic, living thing, that can be outfitted with whatever they want.. a living, thinking, powerful vehicle, with legs, tracks, and other fun aattachements like Xavious said, they are more like personalised weapons, than transfomed warriors.. build, bred, and grown for a specific task, specific terrain, and such.. A new Cryon model, that is starting to plague the terrans, is a warrior designed to use terran equipment and weaponry.. rather than being outfitted with cryon stuff, they are build for using all terran equipment..

their home-planet, very little is known about.. plantlife exist there still, but mostly its been removed, for manufacturing plants and hangars, etc.. creatures of the planet, hide out as far away from the cryon as possible.. most have been killed off, simply because they were in the way of cryon operations..

the Curse:

a massive, mercenary empire, formed shortly after the UTC came into being. founded by some very wealthy, and very greedy businessmen.. the Curse is big, very big, made up of millions of desperate humans from the outworld, and even some strange alien races, come to earn a small living. Curse fighters are useless, poorly trained and armed, and dirt cheap. Mostly, the Curse is dishounarable, selling their mercs to everyone from the UTC, Skrith, and even the Hand, and the Resistance forces. (more on those if you ask).. The warring faction, generally only hire out the Curse for diversionary reasons, and do not use them for fighting important battles.. essentially the Curse is a huge mercenary empire, inhabiting the outworld, and hiring themselves out to anyone and everyone..

Black & Wood:

An arms company with a very good reputation. Established over 150 years ago, they have produced some of the toughest weapons around, and are of highest qualiy.. They hit a slump, when energy weapons started flooding the terran markets, but hit an incredible boom when ballistic weapons came back.. Essentially, the company prduces high quality, usually military weapons, and some of the toughest weapons around, such as the NRP57, and many others.. They produce only good 'ol ballistic weaponry, and have not yet created any "black sheep"..

The Cryon are different from the Strogg in that the strogg build warriors out of humans and stuff, while the Cryon grow everything from scratch. There's a very blurred line between a warrior, a gun turret and numerous the Cryon machines. They grow even their mining, milling, construction and just about any kind of machine. The creature/device is designed with organic and robotic parts and then grown. The robotics are added at various stages of the organic development, not simply stitched on after hacking an arm off! They even grow certain types of ammo and make use of nanobots.
Cryon weapons are generally weakier than terran ones, while their fighters are tougher and take more of a pounding. Their nanobots and living rounds are vulnerable to many terran weapons, such as EMP, flame, explosive, plasma, etc. The new generic Cryon fighter is developed to take advantage of the supply of terran equipment and is humanoid in form.
Some types of generic Cryon are enhanced and also can lack many of the features of terran humanoids. ie, some will have no head or tracks instead of legs or may have extra attached weapons, etc...

A bomb that will crawl on its own, up walls, across ceiling, through piping and so on, is not uncommon.

Unlike most Skrith allies and affiliated races, the Cryon were not enslaved or forced to help, they willingly and eagerly offered themselves to the Skriths' cause. Some even beleive that the Cryon were engineered by the Skrith themselves.
The Cryon are regarded as far more valuable to the Skrith and are treated far better than the Krao.

Cryon tactics compare easily to those of the terran. They tend to fight more openly, with limited use of stealth and more dependancy on force and firepower.
They are not suicidal and number dependant like the Krao, but also do not use stealth and fast melee attacks as extensively as the Skrith.

This kinda sounds like a crossover between some Warhammer 40k races:

Orcs love robotic body parts, Tyranids can breed warriors for a special purpose, Tau have superior technology.

Datstylel: There does sound like there are similarities to WH40K, but I doubt they designed the Cryon with 40K in mind.

Hmm... those descriptions of Cryon seem to tie in pretty nicely with what you guys have released right now. I'm loving it.
So, how about the Krao?

now Krao:

Yet another Skrith controlled alien race. the Krao are an endless swarm of insect-like aliens, relatively uninteligent, and very fast.. Skrith use the krao as a massive horde, to simply overwhelm their enemies with incredible numbers.. many terran weapons have been designed and built, simply to destroy Krao.. The famous WasteLand siege battle, was a very dark day for Krao forces.. along a 500 mile line of terran defenses, approximately 12 million Krao were slaughtered along the front-lines.. transports were shot down, and aliens destroyed in huge numbers..

Krao are fast, agile and very sharp.. they climb walls, jump far, and even burrow.. Krao use their own limbs, and claws as weapons, and have no technology.. really a large herd of animals, bended to the Skriths influence..

I can see in my mind the UTC standing in hundreds in front of turrets behind a big fort, shooting down Kraos in massive numbers each second.

The Kroa sound like something that would be fun to kill with the lightning gun or a triple barreled shotgun.

I would like to know more about the Skrith. Plenty of people seem to know what they would or would not use, but very little info is actually given about them.
For all I know, they aren't even humanoid.

They sound a bit like they have a Skaarj-ish attitude, with their melee and slaves and all. (I'm not accusing you of stealing ideas, mind you, space pirates and big bad aliens with underlings are as old as sci-fi itself)

YOu guys ever going to make a info page like your shot of the moment or information page under BW for all this info, would be very wise to do so.


How did the UTC (Terran) come into contact with the Skirth and their sub-races (Kraos)? And why did they start fighting eachother?
