I don't know if any one else noticed this, but you can actually shoot through thin walls with at least some of the guns (didn't check if all of them could yet). That is really a nice touch. Also, it seems like you can shoot through people, too, which is also cool! :)
I'm not just talking about the rail gun here, either. 8)

Don't know what other people feel about this, but I think DC did a really good job at coding, and quite a few of the things he added seems to have gotten unnoticed. Well, because I don't think any one else truly shown their appreciation for DC's handy-work, here's a nice big THANK YOU DC!!!

Well, thats all I got to say. Feels good to have that off my chest now. :)

P.S. I don't mean to sound like he does all the work or anything, SB, its just that no one seems to notice some of the things he does.

I never notice it in the action, but it is a nice touch indeed. Although it can be unreasonable at times, a small bullet going through a few cm thick titanium wall sounds a bit extreme doesn't it?

But that is something that can't be fixed since you can't teach the bullet which textures are metal and which aren't.

Actually, you probably can. Generally each texture has a setting that describes it as metal, wood, glass, etc... But that thing is generally used for sound FXs, I think, but there's probably a way to use it.

it does use that.. ;)

Thats what I thought.

Well thank you then, I did put a lot of thought and effort into this code... :D

The surface type does affect how far a bullet can go through it! :)

Bullets are also weakened when they go through people and walls!

My code is very beautiful, you should see it! ;)

I'd need your coding knowledge first. ;)

Why would you need his coding knowledge to see it?

Would you be able to read a sex story written in Magyar? I can't see the "beauty" of a code when I don't know how to read it in the first place. ;)

Oh, well I guess thats a good enough reason, although the analogy is a bit odd...

huh, never even knew the bullets could do that, great work than DC on the coding.

its really rewarding to line up shots with the sniper rifle ive gotten dual headshots like that before, first one was by "accident" and i never got over it since. excellent job on the coding it really adds things to gameplay

I once killed 3 bots with a single Railgun shot, that will never happen again, period.

Shots passing through walls are pretty cool, not vary useful but cool (as a programmer I appestat all sorts of “featuresâ€Â

Yeah, not terribly useful right now, but very cool to shoot through walls. :)
You lost me on the chainsaw part, DW. :?

What I meant was crouching in front of a doorway and mowing down bots as they tray to swim up a stream of constant fire from my LMG. I had not thought my bullets were doing more then killing one at a time now I see that the stream of fire was killing every one in its path, ripping right through the one in front and moving to the next befor he was dead.

Yeah, I see what you mean, I just heard chainsaw and I was thinking about me mowing through zombies with one. :D

I love getting a head shot underwater and watching the bubbles come out the back of the head. :)

Chainsaw! Sponsor... You'd save on code might not be too hard... ;)
Oh, Heres something fun, try CTF-1on1-Joust with 5+ bots and LoadOut and see what happens! I tried it when testing the flamer and it was rediculous! Course I had the flamer too and that made it interesting, but I think the same mania will be there with everything else! :D The whole place was black, green red and purple and the floor was covered in shell casings, gibs and bullet holes! Disgusting good fun!

Hmm... sponsering a chainsaw... now there's an interesting idea... 8)

...but who ever would do that? ;)

The person who wants it of course. ;)

Shots’ passing through walls is useful, in DM-UnrealVille you can fire right through the doors, !amazed

You see someone coming, or hear them coming, just unload your clip through the nearest door. 8)

To improve your timing post the M50 camera on the other side of the door.

I think shooting trough walls is incredibly usefull.
My bro made a map, called DM-PJsBattlefield. Its not finished and VERY laggy with 32 players with Ballistic weapons.
The map is one big building in the middle, with other buildings around it. Dont think these buildings are like others. The middle one is completely destroyed, you only have 4 big walls and walkways on the sides. Its like a bombarded city. Really fun. (Crap im making to long text about nothin again) Ok the point is, he made this tower with thin metal sheets you stand on. You can shoot right trough these with any gun. The special thing is, you can see the enemy's shadow move on the metal above you. So you know where he is.
Point ur M50 up, and watch meat fall down :D
