would you all prefer more stuff, or for it to be out sooner?

Even if you are a beta tester, you still are going to wait longer, but I say, let them take more time. I want to see more goodies!

hate to say this and burst you guys bubble but i say new stuff can wait the minigun, flamthrower, acid grenades plus the long anticipated revolver is good enough for now

I mean, releasing 2.0 with it's current plans and later releasing a bonus pack is the exact same thing; except we don't have to wait for 2.0.

well maybe those feature won't work great as with most BPs with loadout or stuff like that, full versions are the best

I have to say.... earlier release. THe bonus pack extras could easily come with a special patch with them.

exactaly 2.0 should at least be realeased or put into beta stages

Which would get the features and save time at the cost of sacrificing some quality.

There's an idea. If you could release the thing sooner, then rerelease it with the added content we'd have the best of both worlds.

Please note that this is different from the "release sooner" option. Rather than having the later content added haphazardly in a bonus pack that may or may not be completly functional with BW's other options, the new stuff would be available with the old stuff as a complete download. Of course a patch for the older version could be made too, as long as it updated everything, including loadout mode, and anything else that might require it.

This would please both parties I think, and would allow RS to continue developing BW at their own pace without having to worry about keeping the ravening hordes, err... fanbase happy. On the other hand it does mean more work for them, so I could understand if they chose not to do it.

I think releasing the final product as a single, self contained download is important because nothing will put off less computer savy new players more than having to install a million incremental updates. It's tedious and can lead to horrible version missmatch problems if the person doing the installing misses something or stuffs up. 2.0 will be the base release for BW for many months to come, and I think it's fair to assume that there will be quite a few patches, bonus packs and sponsored weapons released between now and the release of 3.0. If either rereleasing 2.0 as a complete updated download or just holding out for a week can cut the number of these incremental patches by just one, then I personally think it'd be worth it.

I think they should make what they want to do, but maybe give themselves a personal deadline, that is, make sure it doesn't get released about a month later than expected, but pretty much see what they can make without delaying it too much.

RS could simply add that support right away, there are no laws in mod making.
