Hello, So I just got UT2004 for my MacBook (works flawlessly), and found this mod and installed (1.7 then 1.72). The problem is that I have crazy screen flip out thing. I searched the forums and found a few solutions (like reinstalling) and have tried many of them. Is there a definative fix for this, did I miss something? Anyway, awesome mod when the screen doesn't go buggered. Any suggestions are lovely...err, welcome Enkidu |

Hmm, James went through the same thing, though you should have installed it 1.7, then 1.71, then 1.72. That might be it, 1.72 is supposed to fix the mac/Linux screen flipping bug. Make sure you've installed the BW, then its two patches. |

So, I didn't install 1.71 because I couldn't find it on the downloads page (maybe I am blind...), I will try that though. And yes I did install BW then 1.72 but I will install 1.71. Thanks, I will report back. Update: I cannot find 1.71 patch anywhere.. How can I get it? will someone send it to me? |

damn, can't find 1.71. Well the thread on the Epic forums doesn't even really mention 1.71. Hmm, maybe just delete ALL previous BW files (1.7, and 1.72 (1.72 covers over 1.7)), I'll try sending you my 1.71 file, PM me your e-mail address. |

You don't need 1.71, 1.72 would overwrite the 1.71 files anyways. So it'd just be a waste of time. But this bug has no definite solution unfortunately. |

1.71 is not needed. 1.72 is just a code update, so it overwrites 1.71
Best lets hear what James says, but I thought this bug was squished! Welcome enkidu BTW. nice to have another mac user

Welcome!! this was fixed.. according to James (our Mac guy).. he had this, and we finally tracked it down, and got the thing fixed.. maybe v1.72 didnt install correctly.. just make sure v1.72 is properly installed.. to tell if you have v1.72 actually working, check if dropped weapons and brass sinks into the floor
this particular fixed was added in v1.72, so if its installed right, then it should work check the changelog on this site for the things each version fixes/adds..

SB, maybe you aren't taking into account that no one's computer is exactly the same. This fix could work for one type of Mac but not for some other. |

The weapons do twist, shrink and sink, instead of turning into particles and disappearing (I hope this is what is meant by shrink vs UT effect.) Do we know if James uses Intel-based mac? That might change something... Anyway, thanks for any help and suggestions. The mod is great fun. Enkidu |

He uses Intel yes. And the weapons are supposed to shrink and sink, that's how I remember it. |

"Quick, it's the damn dog again Byron! Take 'em out!" "I'm trying, I'm trying, but I'm still killing Gilgamesh at the same time!" --- If others don't understand, in FFXII, one boss's name is Gilgamesh, and his dog is Enkidu. Nice name. From what I know, that crazy screen flipout thing is not a bug with Ballistic Weapons, as I have it myself, but both during Ballistic Games, and Single Player Campaign mode. That would mean... it's just a bug with UT2004 itself. Is your UT2k4 up to patch 3659 BTW? |

That patch doesn't exist, it's 3369. |

Off-topic: I have never played FFXII, the name Enkidu does come from (one of the very first books ever) the Epic of Gilgamesh and refers to a “wild†|

Saying that it has been reduced by 75% is pure guess, we don't know what causes it so maybe you just accidentally avoided the "triggers" of the Macbug. But I'm glad it is at least more stable for you, let's hope it stays that way. |

Ya, I was already patched. I know the statistic is pure guess, however, I have been playing the same map with the same setting, trying to control all of the variables and have been experiencing reduced problems... Howver, I did say that it might be related with to the shotty, that was crap. Purely a coincidence. I don't know what else to say..... |

Good for you. Also, zips are the way to go, with the current UT2k4 patchs, they've screwed up how umods install. just go zip. |

UglyPants, all you have to do is to reapply the patch once or twice, and the UMods should be fixed.

Nope, I got the UMod corruption too, just had to reapply the patch and it was fixed. Has something to do with the registry update I bet. |
