Well, the beta testing is progressing nicely, and sorry, no release date yet, but hopefuly, not too long now.

Here are some comments on BW2 from some of the beta testers, so you can get an idea of what to expect

so far things are going very well, thers a few bugs with the dual wielding to be ironed out but the rest of it really rocks. as for the minigun you guys are really going to love it, the power is immense. the new blood is kickass too. all in all BW stands as the best mod still.

Awe, a short review, dang. Ah well.

BW2.0 in short is amazing, superb, and is filled to the bucket loads with detail. From the beautiful new guns effects down to the blood emitters, its all good. All the sidearms feel much more powerful and useful this time around, though a sidearm isn't going to save your life if your enemy has a minigun. Great release, and is sure to please, only downside as always is that its so high quality, that it takes a long time, but thats totally okay.

Ballistic Weapons is the Premiere in Weapons replacement for Ut2004, If you have never seen it then your missing out! I'm not much on Instant action or Playing Bots But I can tell you this, On a 20 Player Server It Can't be beat.

I have ran this mod for a while and Have 3 Ballistic Servers and I can tell you My community has grown 10 fold because of the Mod and our hard work.

Incredible update, the minigun should be named meangun. The flamethrower makes nice roasted gen mo kai beef. The new gore effects proves that big game developers still got a lot of stuff to learn about making shooters.

That about sums it up in very raw form.

BW2.0 short review:

When you get that XMV850 Minigun, almost nothing stops you. You are THE man with the golden gun with this baby, at least until someone pops your head off with the newly reanimated R78, and then you even get to see the awesomeness of the new blood and gore from BW2.0! The sidearms are now on par with most of the other weapons, but of course they still don't beat the new M353 skin and mounting and the new M925 mounting system...

Ever needed to blow up a target that's too good for just simply targeting it with? Now the new laser-guiding mode lets you pull off a half-miracle (but it's more skill of course) and just evade all their fire, and then blow their brains ALL OVER the ground/walls/ceilings! Now in: quicker reloading!

A review is what you want, eh? I think I can deliver.

"What is Ballistic Weapons?" I've heard some say. There is no clear answer to that, for it is made primarily as a weapon pack, but it does so much more than that. With the enhanced gore and advanced features like reloading and dual wielding, this is much more than a weapon pack. It is a whole new experience.

As for being a weapon pack, this is overkill! There's about 30 different guns to choose from, all of them having different uses, while still remaining equally balanced with one another. The dual wielding feature easily makes the handguns more than just a last resort weapon. Singly you can take out a heavy weapons wielding enemy without too much problems, assuming you know how to use the guns right. But with two sidearms at once, you are a force to be reckoned with.Got a couple enemies you want to take out at once? Not a problem with the dual targeting system.

The jump from 1.x to 2.0 is a big jump; many weapons re-animated and/or re-textured, gore completely revamped, new gameplay mechanics like a turret system and dual wielding, and the guns! Don't get me started on the new guns...

I'm in total agreement with everything that's been said. If you've been following Ballistic Weapons since it started, you know how much amazing new stuff has gone into each new version. Believe, me, RuneStorm's set themselves up to a totally new standard for excellence in quality, graphics, playability, and overall shock and awe value.

You will NOT be dissapointed.
