call me a lazy bastard but could you guys put all the stuff you have into a TC? the only reason i want this is beacause i am tired of manually installing this mod. it is so much easier for me to pop a TC in the ut2004 package contents and make a launcher than dropping every file into the correct ut2004 folder.

just an idea (i know you wont do it but....)

lol.......

That's a pretty retarded idea, as you'd have to add extra paths to your UT2004.ini if you wanted to be able to join a server with ballistic in standard UT.

What could be harder than unzipping a prepackaged folder structure?

I agree hundred percent with heheman, it is way too impractical, at least while the mod is still as small as it is now.

Sorry, but it's remaining as it is now ;)

There are other plans afoot in the TC direction, but that is still a long way off (probably be a while after UT2K7). Right now, stability of the mod is important, then the next step is a whole bunch of new content :)

yeah.. no TC for a while.. rather if all RS stuff is enabled, it can reach like a TC.. it gives you options..:)

how come BW is the only mod that i play in which i have to add extra paths to the .ini to play? i never have to do this with other mods........

You aren't supposed to need to do so in the first place. I only extract the files into their proper UT folders and then I start playing.

Are you guys perhaps going to make a 1.71 or 1.75 to fix the few bugs left in 1.7?

You would have to add paths if ballistic was a TC instead and you joined a normal UT server that was running it.

hey hey.. u should only have to add extra paths to the ini, if you installed the .zip version:blink: for serverpackages right?

You seem to be the only one having these problems, so it might not be an archive problem.

Why don't find a location you can remember then? Like C:\James or something? I always download to D:\Backup so I always know where my downloads end up.

There's nothing retarded about wanting such a well made mod to be a proper TC.

I for one can't play this. Why? because with the default folders comes the default config file. I have to map multiple extra keys to play it and I simply do not have enough useful spare keys left and having to faff about reconfiguring mods everytime I want to play something IS a real pain.

Well, the only key you really need is the reload key. Which is usually not taken on a keyboard. Some mods can even share a key. YARM and Ballistic both bind a key to "Reload", and if you bind it for one it works for the other.

Post subject:  TC but not TC

yeah... that or just don't play with so many mods.

Author:  Bjossi [ Mon Jul 10, 2006 2:25 pm ]
Post subject:  TC but not TC

It is a part of having many mods to choose from, you will need many keys. But you should have Ballistic as a top priority though. 8)

Yeah the only mods i have decicated keys for is dual weilding and Ballistic Weapons. Just a thought if RS adds a meele combat key for BW could i say have shift key for both dual weilding and meele combat by using key 1 for dual weilding and key 2 for meele combat? (and yes i know this doesn't make much sense, sorry, i haven't used the input menu in a while.)

You have to do a bunch of testing before claiming that the Macbug is fixed, because you never know if it is just luck that you haven't experienced it so far.
