Post subject:  Cross hair problem v1.07
I've been trying out the new version, was checking out the cross hair part of the mod. I could not get any of the changes to stick. Now, no matter what I do I get only a quarter of the cross hair on the screen. I even reloaded V 1.06 and reloaded V 1.07 and it stayed the same. Only a quarter appears no matter size or type. Any suggestions?

Strange. A fix that works almost always is to reInstall the game and then apply the mod. But that is a hassle.

When you say the changes don't save, you mean that after you edit the settings and click Ok, the changes didn't get saved?

That... is an understatement. :S It would literally cost hours to reinstall and reconfigure all the custom stuff I have.

Thanks,but not really wanting to reinstall. with all the files anf stuff I have it'd be a nightmare. More descriptive of the problem is that the cross hairs are so off center you only see a corner of them. As to your question, I'd make changes to the cross hairs via the mods menu, hit ok and they would not appear with the changes in the game. All the other mod adjust would change in the other areas like blood, damage decals etc... The off center cross hairs began after I hit the default botton in the mod menu, and this also affects any cross hair type in the game. Tho triads work when the Balistic mod is shut off.

hello... this sounds very strange.. will have to look into it..

on the BU forums, there was some complaints about settings not saving as well.. it seems to work for use tho.. anyone else here have these problems?

Hi

I was able to get the X hairs back by alternatly playing with the global size adjust, reset and default buttons. Gonna leave well enough alone for now. I've been using the balistic mod since before it went gold. It's better than any mod out there.

Hey.. we found a bad problem.. options sont save sometimes!! go to the downloads page, and get the v1.71 patch to fix it:)

The new patch took care of this problem for me, changes made to my xhairs are savable and no screwyness.
