Wow... Does it do that every time you get killed? Does it happen in all maps? Haven't heard of this problem before, which means it is specific to your system. Like Wup said, make sure you have the latest DirectX installed also make sure you've got the latest video driver installed. If you have BW motion blur switched on, Switch it OFF! |

Well, if the problem has the source in the D3D rendering path like the error suggest, switching to software rendering would fix this problem, but would put all the work on your CPU. Do you see a D3DDrv.dll in your UT2004\System folder, by the way? |

Do you see a D3DDrv.dll in your UT2004\System folder, by the way? Looked in System folder. Yes i see the D3DDrv.dll . |

Now try this: 1) Open up UT2004.ini 2) Find [Engine.Engine] which is near the top 3) [Engine.Engine] is a category as I'd like to call it. At the top of this category are a few lines that begin with a ; 4) Add a ; to the beginning of the line: RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice 5) Then remove the ; from any line of your choice, first try the NullRenderDevice and then OpenGL, then maybe D3D9. |

Well I'm happy you figured it out, though its terrible that you have to survive without the gore, it makes up such a big part of BW. |

Since UglyPants didn't tell you the obvious, I will: There is something seriously wrong with your computer. I have an almost identical computer and not only does the gore work fine, but I average over 100 FPS even when the gore is splattering all over the place in-game. |

Assertion failed: *BufferEnd == 0x03221977 [File:.\D3DResource.cpp] [Line: 1094] I think I solved this by switching from DirectX to OpenGL. To do this you can edit the UT2004.ini file as follows: [Engine.Engine] ;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice |
