Seriously, they're the best and most explosive headshots I've seen since Turok 2 DEFINED explosive headshots. Forget GoW, everything was too dark to see what just happened when you popped a melon, but these are meaty, bloody, and everything else they need to be. In a word, AWESOME!!!

Side Note: The AM67 seems almost TOO good at nailing headshots. I like that. It's my favorite pistol in the pack.

Yeah, the AM67 is a flying crapload of awesome. My only possible gripe with the gore system is that it seems too often that my shots take the heads off my target, even when it isn't a headshot, or when I know the killing round hit the torso.

But whatever, I'm not complaining.

It's odd. At the same time, Sarsomyr, I find times where I shoot the head off of targets, but they DON'T say headshot.

However, slamming a revolver round-or-two into a head and watching the body skid 30 feet away is a thing of beauty.

It'll only say headshot if you do it with a pistol type weapon or you get a lucky first shot with one of the others. Also, sniper rifles too...

Not just headshots... it's powerful, highly accurate, and has a fairly large clip. No real drawbacks. This may be cool at first, but ultimately I prefer a weapon that requires a bit more skill, like the RS8 or the revolver. A frag is simply more rewarding if the weapon makes you work for it (within reasonable limits, of course).

Funny you guys think that. I'm loving the AM67 but I don't find it too good. I find I have to plug away at bots for awhile before they go down. The new uzis on the other hand, I think they're a little overpowered. With one of those in each hand anything within 10 metres of you is as good as dead.

Heh. Personally, as sidearms go, I still stick with the classic m802, or whatever the original pistol was. The thing is no longer doomed to obscurity by insane recoil! Woo!

They aren't overpowered, isn't it a no brainer that a dual wielded gun kills quickly?

Well it doesn't happen as much now as it did in the betas.

Still a lot better than a whole body flying apart on one or two shots

I think I like the AM67 the best because of how powerful it is. It's one of the first pistols I've seen in a game that actually keeps you alive until you get a bigger gun; even if you get into a fight you can hold your own. The revolver's good too, but the tiny clip restricts me pretty well to sniping with it.

Dual wielded AM67s and Magnums kill quickly IF you have the skill to hit a fast moving target repeatedly at close range. It's not really very hard but some skill is required. Dual uzis on the other hand are a case of "point guns in the general direction of enemy and hold down left click until target disappears in a cloud of red mist. Reload, rinse and repeat". I suppose they have their drawbacks, but really as long as you can get into range there isn't much else to it.

That said they are an unreasonable amount of fun

That is a problem with the default game too, Epic screwed that one up.

Hey, was a really a headshot when a bot I was having a gunfight with suddenly broke off into a sprint for health, and I was chasing her with my M802 handgun, and when she was just a step away from breaking glass into +35 health freedom. POP!

"HEAD-SHOT!"

Her headless body slid RIIIGHT over the medkit.

Good god, you wouldn't believe how constant the guys in the Hedsteem server cried about me ripping heads off...
They for some reason don't understand HOW frequently heads come off ... I seriously wouldn't be surprised if head's started fallin off for no reason, heh sometimes that's what it seems like, but bullets with your names engraved in them aren't really all that covert...

Heh, that whole fact, and the fact that I rip them eventually lead to my ban, which is crap but it doesn't matter all that much, lol but the many screenshots I have of them flaming me and me tearing faces off ( especially when it's snap shots, like jumping with the Mp5 or randomally whipping around with a shotty and clearly punching someone in the chest and their brainmeats are still strewn across the walls ) was somewhat worth it, heh

However noting is more satisfying that ripping someone's face off with a pistol, no matter which one it is ( aside from the Skirth pistol )

that's why i play with bots, because if you start owning them (which is a sure thing) they just die more. Unlike on servers where the little kids bitch and cry about loosing cause they think you hax. When really your just good.

Yeah, me too. Then again, I'm surprised when i get a headshot from half way across DM-Trident with the M50.

I continously say the translation from UT2004 Weapons over to Ballistic is something that not EVERYONE can handle, and obviously a good handfull from Hedsteem couldn't however they were noobs ( which means they jus started n suck ) and were playing more for fun than anything. The worst part are the others that swear from the top to the bottom that they can kill anyone, and do it with style, that lose their head in 1 shot and can only assume it's bots. Those are the nubs ( which means, they play, know how to play, and still suck ) that I can't stand ... lol

dual uzi has a downside. the long reloading time.

Yep, same here, although the Uzis are the most likely canidates for me dual wielding.

A pair of Fifty-9s are extremely dangerous and versatile. Extend both stocks and crouch down, you'll hit anything up to a good 50-100 metre, or hold down alt fire and swing like crazy, as both Uzis will swig about, just as two Assault Pistols can use their flash.

And TBH, I find the Uzis, and possibly the XK2 to have the fastest reload times, the chrome Machine Pistol seems a bit longer, and semi-auto pistols even longer, and don't get me started on the Revolver.

The Fifty-9 is very dangerous even when single-wielded, that sound and the blue muzzleflash gives it the 'Don't mess with me' feel to it.

Except if your opponent has a G5, then your screwed.

So far in BW2 I have never died by a G5 rocket, they are very easy to avoid since the bots don't use the alt. fire.

Ahahahah, seriously. Once I smoke the 6 shots in the revolver, I toss it it takes FAR too long to reload that beast :3 but it's delicious to nuke a face or drop the last 100pts off a wounded vehicle. X.x defenitly not intended for anything else than cover fire, or walking up behind someone and whispering your favorite line

I've only been killed by the G5 when the enemy is close by, so dodging is impossible at such short range.
